  1. theres a flat section on the distributor side of the block. pretty my at the rear of the engine. Most likely you'll have a 3k, or if someones already done a swap it will probably be a 4k. 3K engine number = 3K XXX XXX 4K engine number = 4K XXX XXX What ever the first number and letter will tell you the engine type. pretty much the same with all toyota engines, but not all.

  11. Greenmac80, I'm sure it is by complete coincidence that the new date for the aformentioned automobile cruise happens to be the same date as the Bi-weekly pizza meet, held in the city. I am hereby suggesting that we can combine these two fine events. Persons wishing to participate in the cruise could gather at thy Pizza House. Everyone can enjoy one enothers company, consume fine pizza and beverages and participate in the SEGA style gaming machines before participating in the cruise. We all know we can pilot our automobiles on and empty stomach. Regards, SLO-030
  12. Stockies = good for skids only. f@$k all traction compared to some decent 185 - 195's. I've been running the 14x5.5 celica/torago wheels between using my dragways and the new chasers. Come up nicely with a clean up with 1200 and 2000grit wet and dry. Pics of them are in my thread. click the picture in my signature to go straight there

  21. Yea, near misses are bad enough. but still better than something that went really wrong. Mate was using the sheet metal guilotine at work. Its air powered with 2 f@$k off big air rams that pull the blade down. The shaft/ blade arm stops 3/8 of an inch from the floor. The foot pedal had been pushed back and when my mate went to use it the shaft came down and smashed the plastic casing and the top of the valves in the pedal. If the pedal was 3 inches further under, the shaft woulda come down, crunshed the plastic, hit his boot, and held it down untill the shaft had got to the bottom of its stroke before going back up. leaving him with a 10mm thick foot. Anyway. WGMG, Making thr deal to buy a ke30 on a saturday for $900, with instructions that we would pick it up on the following tuesday. Ring up on tuesday to let them knwo we would be down to pick up the car. only to get the response "oh, the cars sold". Further questioning revealed theyd sold it for $1275 (not worth it) on the monday. LIKE WTF? I know it wasnt set in cement as nothign was in writing, but people can't even keep their word these days.
