  1. If its dry that means its been without grease, so Id replace it to be on the safe side. Save you doing it later
  2. Take the block to the local cop shop or rego engineering joint. Sometimes they will have an xray machine that X-rays the block to check the engine number. They can re-stamp the numbers and from what ive heard they put a P or something to say that its been offically restamped or something.
  3. Little C(*TS that don't know how to be thankfull. A while ago I helped pull out his new 4k out of a friends car, transported said engine to his place using MY car. I Helped install engine and get roughly running (10+hrs of MY time) And now all i ask for is a stock ke30 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and he wants me to pay for it. Fair enough its $10, I'm not that tight. But what shits me is i put in alot of time for him and yea. you get the picture. Also, if youve been paying attention to the forum or have been on the last few SA rolla meet/cruises you'll know exactly who I'm talking about.
  4. Red 25 is gettin the locker as far as i know :'(

    Its a KE30 2dr aswell :'(
  6. Ordered a Mono-torque gasket kit from SCA today. $143.50 all up. should be in on thursday as its coming from melbourne. Also pulled the head off the 4k and everything is pretty clean inside in the way of carbon build up, which leads me to believe the it was rebuilt not all that long ago as the seller of the 4k didnt know either.

Yea, if i see it again i will get the number. I should have got it last night but there were people hanging around my car cus i left my lights on, had to shoo them away :P And as Jason said, VERY good condition. Tiny amount of rust under the filler cover flap and a tiny bit under the passenger side of the rear windscreen. Didnt really have a look at the bottoms of the 1/4 panels tho. thats most of them rust i think :'(

Oh, just so you know, this was on private property. Just because some people enjoy spinning tyres doesnt mean they drive like dickheads. Also, spotted a shit load of rollas, 6:30am Marion Rd, 12a ke55, was on here, not sure if it got sold or something, had P plates, brappy as 1:15pm intersection of south and port roads, Browny Ke25 heading north on south road 1:26pm Same as above intersection, bamboo ke38 pulled up 2 lanes over from me. 2pm BP Enfield area (I think) Blue ke20 25? 3:20 Spotted Jason, on south rd at O'Halloran hill, he spotted me reppin the 4k in the boot haha. 9pm Brown KE20. Carpark of Lasseters hotel in Lonsdale. For sale. Granny spec as, were only asking $950.

Spotted Charity rolla pull up in my driveway earlier on, then spotted him pulling up next to me in Lonsdale and rippin a mad stand still haha.
  14. Got my 4k today. It survived the trip from Enfield to Woodcroft in my boot haha, will get pics up soon. noot much to see really, just your average 4k....FOR NOW. Gonna get stuck into degreasing and hopfully painting tomorrow. Whats peoples opinions on engine paint? which brands give a better finish/ durability? Not looking to spend heaps of money on paint either.
  15. Hey man, Good to see ya finally got a thread running, Lookin good. Hope ya can find a bumper ay :'(
  16. There were 4 of us Rollaclubbers (Raven, SoulSearcher, MYSTIK and myself) who on one day headed right down south to victor on Budowski's southern cruise. Then the next day were up in the hills out north for the photoshoot 2nd take. Honestly, Nothing's too far if you want to attend. I will be attending any rollaclub gathering thats planned, If i can make it that is........and, if its not too far of course
  17. That Twas my last day of any thing school related forever (apart from trade school) on the 20th of november. I graduated woo :P Where i went we didnt have to do any of that sorta stuff. My yr12 consisted of 2 lessons a day, 1 semester 11am start 3pm finish, 2nd semester 8:30am start 12:45pm finish haha. And i only went to school for 50% of the time. As i, like other yr12 were out doing apprenticeships. My old High school FTW :D
  18. SHouldnt be too hard man, toyotas are everywhere. Might take a bit of looking around but in the end it will prolly work out cheaper getting stuff locally.
  19. Yea, noticed the plates on the videos. Now if it was on private property its be all kool. but since your openly bragging that its on public roads, if someone just happens to put 2 and 2 together, your f@$ked buddy.
  20. Yea, hooked it up to my ute and the idle was all over the place and the screen displays the wrong characters. Left it for six months and gave it another go at getting it right but the smae results. so ive given up. its just sitting in a box in the shed. I think there are a few resistors out of place or something, i still have the construction manual. Paid about $150 about 12 months ago. say $100 + postage. cus if you can get it going its a very versatile unit (dual ignition curves, tacho output, real time display, timing retard with the knock sensor etc)
  21. Drive home via adelaide south and take me for a spin ay?
  22. Get the seal kit for 25 USD (about 45 AUD) find somewhere in adelaide that stocks a similar oil. then go down to CBC bearings and they should have what you need
  23. CBC bearings to the rescue, those guys have most bearings know to man.
