got a nasty scar on my knee from coming off a mountian bike at 30+km/h on to rough ashphalt. also got one in the middle of my forehead when i was 3, playing with my uncle over from canberra. playing with some ropes and being a little horsey (as you do) wasnt looking and went smack bang into the corner of a brick wall. Had to wait 45mins for dad to finish cooking the BBQ. Forgot which one i showed someone and told them I was a C section baby and the doctor cut too far.

I am part of a Ute forum and also find that the cruise and meet scene is pretty quiet. I'm definatly coming to the cruise on the 29th, just like the "show and shine" on the 16th its good to get together for once and put a face to the names on the forum.

Another way of saying it is; Moving the axle further away from the leaves it gives it more leverage to twist the leaves resulting in more tramp. Shauns ke30; If your lowering your car more than say an inch or so i wouldnt go near blocks. just get them reset or new ones made. If your looking to lower it up to about an inch or so as i wouldnt thing it warrents having them reset and the blocks wouldnt be all that bit so increase in tramp would be minute. NOTE: in my last post i may look like a dumbass for saying you-bolts. But as i just found out Admin has a filter to change the letter>you< as in half of W to "YOU".

VERY NOT TRUE. I just took the 30 round the block to straighten out the camber after jacking the front wheels up. Got up to 60 in 3rd gear and flicked the ignition off, rolled for a while and turned it back on and FARKIN BANG, sounded like a shotgun goin off in the backseat. (dad could hear it and i was a bout a kay away from home). Thought the exhaust note sounded different so i pulled over and from one keybanger theres a hole in my mullfer big enough to put a fist thru. Sounds pretty good thou. so if Some advice: If you don't wanna blow your muffler, don't DO THEM to begin with haha.

I'm running Tri-Y paceys on my ute and they're begining to develop surface rust (after 18 months) :) Anywho. I got a quote for a sports exhaust for my rolla. 2 1/4 with a straight thru muffler and resi for $280 in mild steel. If your interested PM me an i'll give you his details.

+1 for the original FW bolts being 17mm. When i took the FW off of my 3k crank i looked at the bolt heads closely( then soon after cut them off with a grinder) and they were way too big to be 14mm.

I bought a couple of window washer resivours and pumps intending to fit them in the boot and have them spray washing detergent onto the wheels (for use on a mates PRIVATE PROPETY) Wont dirty your car like oil/diesel. Back to the caltrac bars, does anyone know how far apart the you-bolts are on a ke30. I know the you-bolts themselves are 2.25 inches wide, but need to know how far they are apart so i can make the plates for the caltracs. (sorry, may be a tad off topic)

Yea, will just use a 4k :jamie: Thought if i could use the block i have i would. but unless i build a 3k i can't. Had a suspicion the scalloping would be required but if i need to use other pistons i wont bother. thanks for the info Redwarf CHEERS Ryan

Yea, I'm happy to do it again. This time i can wash and polish it and the wheels. Also removed the black sticky shit from the old body trim and debadged it.

Ive still got the auto diff in my 30 from when it was a 3k trimatic. the 30 then went to a 4k/ trimatic and is now a 4k/4spd. I'm either gonna get a 5spd and another auto diff or get another 4spd and get a manual diff. Lower diff ratio means quicker take offs.

Hi people, Just a quick question. Might sound a lil silly, but here goes. Will a 4k crank go into a 3k block? pretty certain they have the same mains bearings size. Reason being, i have a 3k bare block here and want to know if i could use it for a 4k build. which will save me from buyin another block. Only thing in concerned about is the extra crank throw. Think more along the lines of Hyundai. More specificaly Exel Edit: Imagine....That corolla. on that trailer behind it. being towed, by the falcoon its attached to. Backing into one of those trees in the far background

A guy in a falcon (nuff said) had a Ke55 with a body kit on a trailer and backed the trailer into the tree, almost bent it paralell to the ground.

I really wouldnt be keen for it if it was on a weekday. id probably have to come straight from work and I'm sure people wouldnt appreciate me smelling like an oily rag

Did you ever stop to think a show and shine at Munno Para might be a bit out the way for people down south? Sure, it might be a 2 minute walk to your place but i know for me it was a 1hr+ drive home. I Reckon semaphore, would be wicked. Even a cruise to and thru the bay would be good if its not too out of the way for people.
