Looks like I'm buying a new car tonight :) (if all goes to plan) VE SSV sportswagon, silver, OTR and exhaust. well under $30k, less than 80k kms on the clock Full leather, satnav, bluetooth etc etc. 6 speed auto which suits me fine (towing) Pre AFM which means better results from a tune, its not a series one of the VE model, so kinks are ironed out (more or less) Car trouble is always a good push to buy somethign new! Keeping the little AE93 seca (SX), selling the VT to a friend. Will be nice to have some modern luxuries, the VT has been great, has 350000 on the clock and hasn't really missed a beat until now.

I think its got a heap to do with the rising popularity of the "scene" and the whole integration of clothing/apparell and the other BS that goes with it. ten years ago, shit was more expensive, car forums weren't as mainstream, social media (in the automotive world) was non-existant and being "into cars" wasn't as popular. Now you have the marketing machine of apparell and parts suppliers going into overdrive, telling the young wankers that if you don't have XXX you aren't a true member of the "scene" Shits gotten out of hand.

basically yeah, did them up ʞ©$ɟ off tight, undid them, did them back up reasonably tight. Just be careful of the flare nuts if you are re-using old ones. (you've probably realised how ʞ©$ɟing soft they are!) A good quality set of pipe spanners are invaluable.

I'm all for legal, responsible gun ownership (I don't believe its really wise to discuss who/what/wheres of gun ownership on a public forum though) so don't take what I've written as any form of anti-gun babble. How would you propose we handle import/exports?

totally agree with Dave. Shopkeepers being armed? if shopkeepers are allowed to be armed, then everyone will be able to? (remember, there are no laws about owning or making weapons....) Seriously... Ive been to Orange, there is a massive rowdy teenager population. Given the chance, they'd form "gangs" and terrorise. The strong and cunning always rise to the top, regardless of how well you think the community would band together. Moreso, what happens if the towns that control crop growing areas decide they don't want to share, what about if beef farmers want to charge 10x the barter for their goods? people get hungry, go crazy, and you have civil war. Either that or Indonesia will just sail on over with its millions and wipe out our unorganised asses like they want to...

I think the classic line from Orwells animal farm can apply here. "we are all equal, some are more equal than others" It would never work. How do you ensure that police don't overstep their roles as enforcers of your single law? Do you not need a set of rules that govern how they act? How do you decide who is to be the police? not to mention they are completely open to corruption by a number of means.... to me, all this governmentless utopia would breed is localised tribalism. Local communities would become "districts" of their own, enforcing and governing themselves... hello outbreak of civil war? As for people "naturally doing the right thing to help each other out" you have too much faith in the humanity of others. I think the looting and rioting that has gone on in the past 5 years as a result of either natural disasters, community anger or ethnic seperation. At the end of the day, the most primal instinct we all have is survival (closely followed by reproduction) If its your livelihood or that of someone else, guess who would win out?

Ummmm... what? So what is the penalty for "commiting force on someone else" Is it a one sentence fits all? who then decides what punishment fits the crime? How do you determine who has the right to decide these things? if it is a rotating roster system, wont that need to be recorded somewhere and enforced by some law? What about immigation? armed forces, who is the coordinator in the event of national disaster? Face the facts, people need a governing body. You can play the perfect world card a million times over, but any way you look at it, people can't just get along, they can't make decisions as a group (20 million plus now..) and in general, I think 75% (maybe more) are too dimwitted and self serving to ever be trusted with any form of self empowerment.

spent yesterday at the local westfield. Arrived at 9.20, out by 12pm. Christmas shopping (food and gifts) all finished and not a single christmas carol played by the centre (shop to shop there were some, I actually enjoyed it...) People that think they are the most important person ina shop, block aisles, push over your arms to grab stuff off shelves like its 99% off and the last one left etc etc. I hate crowds, so that + ʞ©$ɟwits = me ready to push people down the escalators.

hahaha, I had no excuse to put the wedding off! torana is always having more thrown at it, her ute (77 HX) was next in line for a full rebuild, so she said "it could wait" and thats all there was to it! haha

I gave my missus an engagement ring for our 5 year anniversary haha. Most expensive gift I've ever given, considering the cost of the freaking wedding. haha
