Bonnets, bumpers, indicators, fenders, cosmetic bits can all be swapped amongst KE3x and KE5x models. Pretty much, the only thing that you can't swap is the doors and boot lids, almost everything else is the same cosmetically.... drivelines and underbody components are different, but can be swapped as a whole piece (eg Discs and calipers, 4k)... Hope that helped (my whole lot of b/s for the day, please correct me if I'm wrong).

Nice... Note the pipes that lead from where the radiator is supposed to go (mounted on cage behind where the passengers seat would be) and the spear-plate above my head (in case of rollover where something pierces the roof)... Its a real beast eh. The cage will be painted red unless someone can convince me to paint it different...

Then we took everything out and cut the roof off with an angle grinder (gotta be careful with them sharp edges, got cut up by one)... Thought I'd add a pic of what she looks like... Almost like a beach buggy/ute!

And another; note the big ram up its arse... the driver of this car didn't really mind contact!!!

I didn't think that Ultimate 98 had 10% Ethanol? Anyway, won't the ethanol corrode the hell out of your engine... I don't really trust it, but still, prove me wrong :D

Ha... good point. Should really get round to doing that... Ah, ok. I was just going to do it as a sort of backhand manouvere to get some extra capacity out of my engine, as we are only allowed to run 1200cc engines. I now know that the crank has 4k on it now as well, so there is definitely no chance of me getting away with it (Has to be engine sealed by a CAMS official, yes I do know ways around it, no I'm not going to.). Ok. So you are saying that stroke made up the 100cc difference between the 3k and 4k. So, if i fit a 4k crank into my 3k block, I will then have a 1300? If so, if I fit a 5k crank into a 3k block, will I get the same result (1500cc)? So there was no changes in bore sizes, only stroke and compression? Sorry to move in on your topic rjenman

Cheers SJ... I probably won't bother looking at it now cos A; it wouldn't have a Jap diff, and B; the KE20 I just got has locked 4:3's... Yeah, Lappy, the KE20 is an ex-speedway racer. Old man got it from a bloke in Augusta for nothing... Its nothing special, but its got a 'cage, seat, harness tank, net and a shitload of other things that save me a bit of time and money... Heres a pic, but I'll put more up in my build-up page... edit: Didn't realise that it was 1.55mb still.. thought I resized it... I'll post it later.

By the way, hows that going? Last I heard from you was when you'd got the motor...
