  1. Thank you for the kind comments :( The gold pinstripe is my favourite part of the car! :) It is, however, starting to peel on some parts ever so slightly. I've done a couple of other things to the car that I haven't updated on here just yet! It's now sporting a lower profile (height) and I've installed the strut brace and tacho dash! I don't know why, but I found it so hilarious when all I had to do was literally plug in the tacho dash. So glad I didn't have to run any wires to the coil. The Red Car has received an oil and filter change just recently but I'd like to re-time the engine and also perhaps spend the cash to get it tuned properly, the change in weather hasn't made it run any smoother! I've been wanting to do it for a long time so it will give me lots of satisfaction once I do it. :( I'll get some pictures up of the Red Car soon... reminders :y: Vince EDIT: Sorry Dan! Forgot to mention that I got the strut brace from a member (tas_ae71) on here who also runs an import "garage". Here is his website! Very helpful and great service :)
  2. Gee your Corona is a masterpiece! Very nicely built car. Well done Toyota :)
  3. Yea, pretty sure you can bolt in AE86 coilovers. AE86 brakes would be sufficient for a 4AGE conversion!
  4. :y:
  5. Sometimes things just generally need a good does of "lube". That's a true mark of a handyman :y:
  6. They get my looks vote!
  7. I can't imagine there will be even a noticable difference with JUST camber tops. I'd say a better idea would be to get some aftermarket springs and shocks before doing anything else with camber.
  8. The idea that "lowered" springs work is that they have a free height of "XXXmm" meaning the physical height of the spring when it is uncompressed. What I suggest you do to measure what height you want your car is to use your stock spring and take a coil off here and there and when you've made a decision about how high you want your car, measure the length of the spring in its cut form. Once you've got them measurements, you can go to a custom spring manufacturer (HERE is one example) and they can make you a set of springs for the exact free height that you desire and the spring rate (stiffness) of the springs you are after. While you're at it, make sure you ask about getting a set of short-stroke shocks for your struts from whichever suspension place you go to. If you keep your stock-height shock absorbers and you fully extend your shock while driving by going over a jump or something (lol) the spring can fall out of it's holder... which isn't good!
  9. I've got a quick question... As far as I know, the struts that I have are either RA60 or MA61 items (could be exact same thing) and would like to know if there are any fitment issues to KE3x corolla's. If any, what parts of the KE3x suspension do I need to use if the conversion is possible? Is there much of a difference between these and the XT130 items? Thanks!
  10. Christmas.. YEAH! Merry xmas folks.
  11. Merry Christmas everyone!
  12. Yo man, looks awesome  Has the carburettor problem been sorted out?! I'm keen to see this thing running. I want to do a carb'd 4age :P
  13. Hey mate! Def be up for the rack and pinion and 4-link setup for KE30! As far as I know there isn't any floor pan differences between the 4-door sedans KE30-KE55). I'll have to compare my KE30 2-door sedan (not coupe) to someone elses KE30 sedan to check for any differences. I'm quite sure that the KE55's have the same floor pan as KE30's. As for the rest, I'm not sure.
  14. I'll send you a KE30 2-door sedan pic soon and I'll buy some
  15. Me too.. It's a "public" email account thing. You need to have a proper ISP email address now, which I think is ridiculous for such a place.
  16. You guys are crazy lol. You'll write 1-3 issues and run out of things to write about :)
  17. I think all options have been discussed in the thread mate. We don't know what you want as you keep changing your crazy ideas. Make your mind up and do it. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: - Get some short stroke shocks for front and rear - Either cut or buy lowered springs, or get a coilover kit for the front - Flip leaves, take a leaf out, reset leaves with an added leaf, WHATEVER it takes to get it how you want it. - If you want, some front/rear swaybars. - Then... Get a suspension shop to do all of the work for you, or if you're mechanically minded enough, do the work yourself. Then if you have any questions. Please feel free to ask :)
  18. I think it's about time I did so... Here's the link for others that wish to "thank" RollaClub! Thanks a ton everyone running the joint.
  19. Geez! It really is a very grubby example of a TE71... You should keep us updated with the progress of the conversion.
  20. Pretty sure I've read that a 4K head on a 5K LOWERS compression, which is what some people have done when boosting a K engine. If I remember correctly, 3/4/5k port sizes are the same. A 5k has hydraulic lifters too, whereas all other K-series engines have solid lifters!
  21. PS. More pics of the TE71 :)
  22. Hi Brian! Your KE70 looks very clean! You're a lucky mug to have a (genuine?) TE71 in Australia. I'd say there would be less than 50 in the country. It does look a bit worse for wear, however! Are you going to put the flat front and quad lights into your AE71? Should be a very easy swap putting the TE71 gear in :)
