  1. I have to say I agree...as much as most people say 8 valves are land fill its fun to make a 30 year old engine piss all over modern hunks of alloy crap....
  2. when its not breaking other parts...
  3. thats an understatement :P
  4. I'm not gonna argue over 4 bloody valves... I'm just stating what I have read (somewhere...I'm fairly sure it was bills site) that 20valves would be better forced than NA because the port velocity drops too much for it to be optimal...
  5. Real Name: Ben Nick Name: Kerly Online Name: irokin My online name was accually a typo...but i thought it looked cool so I kept it......:P
  6. maybe i shouldnt have said useless....perhaps wasted is a better word. how about I quote from bill sherwoods page "The most power I've ever heard of in any 20v 4AGE is about 215hp, or nearly 30hp less than a good 16v 4AGE."
  7. gotta remember you need to keep the intake velocity up...
  8. 20 valves are useless unless you use forced induction....your better off with a standard 16 valve for NA

Just for reference the bigport manifold casting number is 24020, the small port is a 204040 and the one that was with the dual plane manifold is a 204042 :P time to figure manifolds out

I'll keep it for now...until the weber goes on and I can check if the head is a bigport or not...shrugg who knows. It hasnt got the welsch plug but it seems toyota is far from a standard with heads :P the head was recoed about 10 or so years ago...its possible a stingy mechanic took the bigport for himself (thanks jackass) or it was an exchange head
  13. irokin replied to irokin's topic in General Mechanical
nah the bigport is the dirty one there...it UNFORTUNATLY doesnt fit on the head with the KE30 dual plane manifold...meh Edit...piccys
