New oil doesnt smell so bad...old oil seems to reek more with age...its kinda like cheese... With the gearbox...ive tried both ways...and I have to say I perfer getting under the car...the shifter hole is so slloowwww....

Leaving for NZ on the 5th so that kinda rules me out... along with the million other things I'm supposed to be doing that weekend....

I run 92 RON unleaded...don't have any problems. With the old aisan it wouldnt ping or get valve rattle...weber is a whole different ball game..gotta be careful not to fuel up the engine too much at low RPM...

you are correct. The whole engine lifts up and throws the shifter into my knee when I launch... bleh Its not like the engines going to lift itself out of the engine bay so it can stay that way till the 4K goes in... My manifold side mount has a heat shield...dunno if this is usual?

I'm almost 100% certain it was either a test or they were bored... mainly because it went of when I was about 30-40m past the camera...but I was still in view. Luckly my number plate is the old black and white style but without the new reflective paint...that should make it hard to see... There is also a wire mesh fence on the other side of the road that may have skewed the readings...theres entire books on how you can beat the charge.... If they do insist I was speeding I'm gonna fight this to the death... I refuse to live in a police state where whatever they say goes...

I totally agree. Society is so f@$ked up today. I consider my corolla old school. And i guess it is really. Everyone at work disses it because its allways "broken" when in reality I'm doing some kind of whacked upgrade or a part thats 30 years old has packed it in...which is to be expected... I love the whole 50s and 60s era...would have been a great time to live in IMO...

Ok turns out Kerosine is what they use in JET FUEL...but AVGAS is a different combination. jet fuel will run happily all day long in a diesel. It usually comprises of Kerosine, napthia and other additaves to give the fuel the desired properties (i.e. freezing point, flash point) 100LL is 100 octane but contains Tetraethyl lead...and theres only one place in the world that still produces it...and thats in the UK... don't try using anything other than 100LL because chances are it will be of a lower octane (I believe aviation fuel goes right down to 80 octane and lower). Redwarf: wanna check if ive got this right??

I'm unsure of the quality of this kerosine BUT After all toyota day on the way home I had to put air in my tyres. I stopped in at the mobil but their air thinggy was busted. So I drove up the road to the matilda. I spotted they had a Kerosine and 2 stroke PUMP!! not one of those big barrels with a hose. An accual metering pump. I checked the price and it was 120 cents/litre. I doubt its the quality of AVgas but I recon you could run it in your engine.... The servo is the matilda on Ipswich road @ around number 800. The pump is around the side (not with the normal fuel pumps)
