  10. grab something like RA6x or even RA40 discs. you should be able to bolt them up to the hubs. Not sure about backing plates..possibly RA60 and calipers to suit the discs.

  12. You can accually get vice grips that have rounded jaws. Made for crimping gas lines in fridges. Dads an ex fridge mechanic so I just happen to have a pair :)

  15. Bosch points are all Ive ever used...
  16. lol i still use points....no point swapping to electronic for me really...engine revs don't get high enuf and I don't mind swapping a $6 piece of equiptment every 6 months.
  17. I'll probably go out for a look this time....I'm still a bit sceptical about it being bogancruse....
  18. must have something to do with the larger piston weights or something.....
  19. Yea...I saw one of those junkyard war things on discovery channel. They had to build a 4wd twin motor off road car to compete around this track. Most of the teams just cut the arse out brought the front of another car in, cut it off at the firewall and welded it all together.... worked surprisingly well and if they didnt have time constraints these things would have been quite awesome but they had to cut corners etc.
  20. well it looks like the flywheel was mounted fixed and they used a moving arm + machine bit (gah...wish i knew the terminology). Most of the flywheels ive seen the flywheel has been moving and the machining bit fixed.
  21. I said the same thing when I was talking to him on msn......harmonic balancer? what harmonic balancer?!
  22. ACE (adult community education) courses are excellent. I just finished a MIG welding course. I can do triangle weaves, J weaves, Alloy, 12mm steal up to a load of something like 12 tonnes in the weak direction of the weld. We were welding 10mm steel plate with 3 run fillets and we ended up bending the metal before the weld broke.. So yea...keep an eye out for them. That course was 4 saturdays (8:30-12:30) and cost $160 + welding mask, gloves etc. Materials and machines are included.
  23. do you want it done properly or not?? just wait they know as well as you and I that your probably not gonna go back there...which isnt any help...theyre probably gonna take even longer. It is annoying to have to wait for things. Yesterday I had to wait a bit longer for my exhaust to be finished...It didnt worry be because I knew if they didnt rush it they would be able to do a proper job. And may I say its bloody beautiful! Muffler Pro @ Seventeen mile rocks...highly recommended.
  24. i can vouch for that...well worth the download!!!
