  1. Until you see it first hand you cannot comprehend just how much water there was. It doesn't look like Trevs ventured too far outside of Ipswich. Out towards Rosewood its much much worse. I've been told there's a coal train stranded at Jeebropilly, probably partially submerged. Major washouts along QRs lines west of Ipswich. Huge lakes where they shouldn't be (Kilometers across). Looks pretty tame in pictures, in reality it's an absolute mess. Walloon (just downstream of rosewood area) One mile bridge (just up stream and west of ipswich)
  2. Read the thread up ^^. We decided not to allow the recommendation to cut springs due to possible legal implications.
  3. Spring cutters Re: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...st&p=286130
  4. Fantastic demonstration! Well done :jamie:
  5. Geez what was up his arse?
  6. The only surefire way to get it to work again is to have it rebuilt/reconditioned. Do both sides at the same time.

  8. *sigh* every time I see someone sign up with KE20 this or KE70 that I think to myself "one day I'm going to get a PM about changing their name" :lolcry:
  9. Nah mate it was "charity rolla".
  10. Can't say I've ever heard of anyone doing it. I can't see why it wouldn't work but in all likelihood you'll end up with lower compression (I suspect this is what you're after anyway?). The T motors are much like the K's when it comes to interchangeability.
  11. ROFL gold! At least the driver did it himself rather than getting the poor nav to do it.
  12. Heheh yep. They will come with the bearing kit. I replace them whenever I replace a bearing. They can be a real prick it put in....oily crapness.
  13. The retainers have to be heated and then pressed onto the axle. Not possible unless you have the correct equipment and know-how. I just leave my axles and new bearings with a mechanic to cut the old ones off and press the new ones on. Usually costs between $40-60 for a pair. Regarding life, excessive end play is an OK indicator. On the fronts it can just mean they haven't been adjusted properly and on the rears it can be difficult to tell whats acceptable and whats not. With the rears once you take them out it will be obvious if they need replacing or not. I usually just wait until they start making a little bit of noise then you definitely need to replace them.

  16. Agreed, deleted and warned.
  17. Looks a bit like a poosar. LOL @ commodore.... altezzas, wet road...nuff said.
  18. Gah! I despise Flash websites |blink| whoever created that needs a swift kickbox to the head!! Utterly hopeless user experience. Anyway hopefully this means something slightly more stimulating is on the way. I saw the ultima the other day and quite liked the look of it.
  19. Not in Queensland (we're talking about coil springs here). From QLD light vehicle modifications booklet (which has conveniently disappeared from the QLD Transport server) Google Cache
  20. dejavu.... *sigh* miles you are so incredibly lazy.
  21. Had she have not explained it though there would have been this big media hullabaloo asking why the police aren't charging the driver blah blah blah. At least if its out there then the pressure off her and onto the politicians to change the law.
  22. The way I read it was that so long as people were wearing the seatbelts that were available to wear (the 4 or 5 fitted) then the others in the car were not required to wear a seatbelt. Personally JiP I recon that's quite possibly even more dangerous than no seatbelt.
  23. http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,2...498-662,00.html How on earth they survived... :D Interesting the bit that says it isnt illegal :jamie:
  24. 1000hp on standard internals? I seriously doubt it. I've seen a properly built 1200hp 1UZ crack the cylinder block good and proper. CAPA tend to dribble a fair bit of shit in my opinion. There are 1UZ corollas around the traps, you certainly wont be the first.
