  1. lol.. some people can't read. and i also replace all bushes with nolathane like religion.
  2. i knew i would cop people telling me to buy an s13 etc, but ive also owned one and yes they are easy to mod and parts are easier to find, but i do like to be different and love the shape of ke55's .. that and at the moment i don't just have the money to go out and buy another car.. the car has flipped leafs in it at the moment and the ride is just terrible.. people who sit in the back seat say they feel like they are going to go through the roof when i hit a bump..
  3. i understand how to make a car stiff for drifting etc .. As i said ive done a heap of ae71's before ive just never dealt with leafs before.. I have a pair of ae86 struts with corona lower control arms and roll centre adjusters that i am going to try and fit up, ive read a fair bit on that subject and got a lot of mixed answers, but i guess there is only one way to find out! As i said before i live in a rural are, the nearest place to get custom springs made or my original ones reset would be about 2 and a bit hours away, so I'm sort of just after an easy way out for the time being..
  4. oh my car was also veryyy low, at the time (when it HAD) choppies in it, it had 2 coils cut out and bumps stops cut off, so to people saying you can't go low on 18's....
  5. ive had 18x7.5's on an ae71 and (imo) it looked good and fit nice, barely scrubbed.. But yea like everyone else said.. It will handle like a tractor and slow your car down.. It is possible, but, why the f would you want to ? Oh and also the clearance between the strut and the rim was like 1mm
  6. yea i seen that one up in the search haha .. poor prick lol.
  7. thought i better put some pics up of it too, this is how i bought it, I'm not really a fan of the white rims and i apoligise if i put this in the wrong section..
  8. now i know i am going to come across as a noob, but has this actually ever been done? i have searched youtube and the net and haven't found any decent videos or discussions on it. i know that leaf springs are not going to do me any favors but i recently acquired a nice little ke55 as a daily driver, i have owned many ke70/ae71's and they are so easy to modify for drift. i also realise that the main thing i will need is power but i am a big believer in suspension and brakes before power. later on in time i'm going to do a ca18 conversion but until than i want to do as much as i can to make the rear end stiff, what could be done easily? i'm not very familiar with leafs. how do i get the leaves stiff but with good spring rate without gettin them reset (i live in a rural area) maybe make custom mounts for an ae71 sway bar? are the diffs strong enough to take the constant abuse of drifting? also ive heard something about r31 diffs, difficult? and please do go easy on me i have used the search bar on this site.
  9. I'm also doing this conversion but with standard ae86 struts .. i was wondering what the camber result was like after installing them, much difference?
  10. wow very clean i like, how did you go about lowering it? i hope to god u didnt get the angle grinder out !! do it once and do it properly and make sure u use good stiff shocks to go with the springs , there is still cheap ways of lowering these rollas like xr8 springs and suzukin sierra shocks, chopped springs can be very dangerous especially on bumpy roads believe me i know first hand after rolling my first car which was a 70.
  11. very nice very nice
  12. go onto boost cruising, in the wheels for sale section it has a list of stud patterns, should be helpfull ?

  15. ok awsome so epoxy would be enough to hold the piece of pipe in ? also i take it you mad that large radiator pipe your self? or can u buy them off some one?
  16. well i finally got around to doing some work on my motor, i have been building for a while now (about 2 years now..). I'm converting a bigport into RWD, and i ran into a bit of trouble, I'm not sure what parts i have but i think i have, a rwd pump, with 4ac rear housing, and i think the front water outlet is off a fwd (it has a temp sensor). the water bypass for the thermo stat doesnt line up, so i was thinkin maybe silver solder some L shaped pipe into the rear housing an run a rubber hose, has any one done any thing like this before?? oh by the way, yes i am too much of a tight arse to go buy the proper bits lol. I'm also not running the heater.
  17. get a set of ssr reverse meshies and get them cromed, a lot of people will respect it , anf ffffug they look good on e7's
