new goodies, but shit weather, plus i still haven't found any replacement panels :bash: so going to borrow an air compressor and start priming the other parts that i can.
-
you spelt LS7 wrong lol
-
this is the other problem... new users get on here, ask a simple question and expect a detailed answer.. then wonder why no one replys (and if they do reply, they get smart arse answers) BECAUSE, half the time, even after people have answered their question, they never log into rollaclub again !!

hahaha carlos my mind's made up :rolls:

actually i'm not sure if the ke70's use the same bulbs for parkers as the ke55? i'd assume they are just a normal tail light style bulb.. and yea they plug straight in, just don't use them as blinker lights as they make your blinkers 'blink' at twice the normal speed.. thats what i originally bought them for.
-
oh and about the parker lights .. i used these ones: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/260811980345 and they are great .. probably as bright as the original low beams :laff: my bumper is sitting on my engine bay cause i took this photo just for you lol

hell yea thats awesome !!!! now she looks like a true jap drift pig

haha thanks man  ahhhhh the old bog over rust trick, they actually hit it further into the guard and the bog was about an inch thick.. SOOOO i'm now after a new left guard, new beaver panel and a new bonnet. :bash: well second hand maybe. on a lighter note, couldn't find any other rust, other than a bit of surface rust in the boot jam.. all dents are out, all sill holes and badge hole etc are welded up and covered with filler.. all panels are all sanded with 400 ready for primer/paint. interior stripped ready for the doors to come off.. painting all the door jams and both sides of the hanging panels first.. just gotta wait till my mate has some spare time so i can use his booth one weekend :y:

flux capacitor lol

hell yea get this thing going and than put some big power at the treads .. sleeper FTW !!!
-
ahh k thanks for that guys .. has anyone used these bonnets ? i don't wanna spend the money and get it shipped 5 hours just to have the thing not fit properly, also the vents don't look right ? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/COROLLA-KE30-75-78-BONNET-/250844580916?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a67808c34

hey thanks heaps everyone for the input, i know not everyone likes big wheels, big pain, and big sound.. but i'm going to try and make this car to appeal to a broad range of people.. these are the wheels i'm going for, although they arent branded ssr or or watanabe or simmons i think they will look great and wont cost me an arm an a leg... + a head. they sorta look like simmons fr's. I'm also lookin around for a different grill and different bonnet.. i think i'm lookin for a 'early ke30' bonnet.. and I'm not sure what this grill is off but i want one like this ! sorry to anyone who owns this car
-
Geeesh everyone chill lol.. thanks for the input. like I said i will probably take it off later as its just there to fill in the blank space. And I asked for suggestions on color not Sam so yea.. I was tossing up between Electric Orange and Velocity Blue ..
-
the start of the never ending project :P welding up all the badge holes, getting rid of the antenna, welding up all the sill strip holes etc. might even get rid of the bonnet strip holes. WHAT COLOR SHOULD I GO PEOPLE ??
-
few pics of the dash.. the missus put the unit sticker there not me lol  ah well it hides the plain blank spot where it got patched up. thinkin about puttin gauges in the blank spot on the console when i end up doing the ca18 conversion, but i have a feeling i wont be using that console anyways as you have to move the shifter back ?

found a relay in my shed and had a few of those led strips left so thought i would bling up the boot before i could be bothered trimming it, i have it hooked up to the interior light circuit so it turns on when the doors are opened. ! also ordered a new steering wheel, boss showed up today but still waiting on the wheel :glare: don't mind the messy wiring eventually i'll have it all sorted and cable tied down and hidden by the false floor

hell yea love your work dude !

not sure what its called but you can buy an additive to put in normal 2pac primer to make it adhere to plastic better and also to make it resistant to stretching etc. i know alot of people don't like the way my car was done but i think mine looked good with painted bumpers, been like this for 3 years now and still no sign of flaking.
-
it costs me around $400 for a basic solid color on the cars i do, as i used to work for the people that paint mine, all i pay for is trade price for all the sand paper, paint etc and paint booth time. the guy who paints mine for me is a pretty close mate so doesnt charge a thing except a favor in return usually.

yep. i'm packin my bags and i'm on my way haha !!

done a few small things, made an amp rack, got some bucket seats, fibreglass the hole in the dash and moved my cd player, trimmed up a gear stick boot, moved the crossovers to the parcel shelf and put a 7 inch port in the middle of it etc.. still have to trim heaps but havent been bothered. added some more sound deadening too
