  1. Yep I'm excited

  4. Don't go there - she probably will :) To put things into perspective we had a baby about 4 months ago so it will be even more awesome for me to have the house completely to myself so I can sleep in etc. I don't need her 'fixed up' I just need her to chill out a bit and stop complaining about EVERYTHING  She used to be so chilled this kid thing has screwed her up.
  5. My missus (yeah I went there) She goes away in three days for a week so I am going to be in awesome town for five days - good part :) She is successfully whinging and moaning at me so much in the lead up to her departure that she is going to potentially ruin the buzz of having the five days to myself and effectively ruin my awesome town!! :) :) Countdown even down to contact hours before departure (excludes work time etc) - 12 hours :)
  6. Vehicle information: 1985 Ford Laser Hatchback - 3 Speed Auto, 1.5 Litre Carby - Very low k's 115,000 Condition: Good - needs new passenger side CV Joint - still very driveable though!!! Price: $1000 Location: Adelaide Hills, near Woodside Contact: PM I bought this car from a young girl who was given it by her Grandma who owned it from new. She put a Pioneer CD player in it and a Sports Steering Wheel and drove it around for about a year until she decided she was too cool for it and sold it to me. I bought it as is and have done about 2,000 kms in it. This car is clean and tidy just with a little sun damage to the door trims. The paint condition and interior parts (except for the sundamage) are consistent with the age and kms listed ie very good condition!!! All the service history is listed in the owners manual and is consistent with the kms shown also. In other words, this car has genuine low kms. The car needs a new passenger side CV Joint ($100 + time to fix) and then it would be an even more awesome daily than it already is. The car has a small dent in the front nose cone. Car is good on fuel, and has also proven to be excellent at parts gathering |blink| I am looking for a hassle free quick sale, any PM lowballing will be met with a very angry reply quite possibly containing plenty of swearing etc :hmm: Sorry to be so blunt just have limited time in my life at the moment for that kind of thing. I have been as honest and descriptive as possible in my description of the vehicle, if anything isn't listed here then the car doesn't have it. Reason for sale is that I have too many cars and have decided to keep the one that can tow (VZ Commo) instead of this. Some pics - no more pics will be posted either :D
  7. Patience my friend I'm still sorting through what I want/need EDIT: updated wrecking thread |blink|
  8. You read my mind Scott!!! I was thinking of scrapping the front half but maybe it would suit as a BBQ!! Yeah the car was fair rooted for some reason parts of the roof were buckled, looks like it had been on it's lid at some stage! Also plenty of rust in the front chassis rails etc this thing had sat around for a while. But still plenty of good parts salvaged from it for projects and also to make the rear half into a trailer. I'll post some more pics when more chopping occurs. Also, have to deliver it to my Design Chief Ryan to see what magic e can weave on it. I want some ideas on how to make the trailer part really effective and cool |blink|
  9. It's slightly lighter now!!! Chopped it up today, and before you guys get all patriotic this thing was rooted BEFORE I chopped it
  10. That shits pretty rough hey |blink|
  11. The simple reason people look for performance options for K motors is that it is not as simple as just bolting in a 4AGE and off you go. There is quite a bit of modification to engine mounts, cross members all sorts. Not to mention the fact of engine bay space in say a KE10!!! My 4AGE 20V AE71 had 90 odd rwkw lets say in a car that weighs just under 1000kg. If you build the equivalent 5K in a KE10 or 20 which weighs about 700 - 800kg and you get say 70rwkw you would get similar performance due to the weight differences between the two. Also, building a 5K and putting it in said 10 or 20 would be alot cheaper than putting in a 4AGE. Most 4AGE's are tired these days so you would need to add price of rebuild on top and a regular run of the mill one only produces like 80 rwkw or so. If you have a K engined car, there is still some hope for good performance ;)
  12. Thanks Mr Shady!! I must admit it was nice and solid to drive :P I was thinking of it as a tow vehicle to tow around small Corollas etc and daily duties. This one was EFI, and I did notice a very noisy Fuel Pump. It was an auto. Well I'll go have another look at it tomorrow and another drive :D I just feel very much in unknown territory having never played with these things before. The last one we 'borrowed' we just drove and that was it ;)
  13. Ok so I looked at a early 80's 244 GL tonight. It is pretty clean, has a towbar and most of all is only $750. It reminds me of when a mate and I had one of these on loan for a few months. I am curious about this thing and considering buying it and wondered if anyone knows anything about them.... Potential Issues?? Price and availability of parts?? Any thing terminal with them in design etc?? What stud pattern are they>?? It has a towbar, how much realistically can I tow with it being the 4 cylinder version?? I know I know a few questions but I am madly googling right now trying to find info. Hopefully someone here can help ;)
  14. All I found in my JZX100 were a few Japanese Condoms (still in their packets) down behind the back seat when I took it out to install coilovers ;)
  15. How does something that neat get defected?? Seriously some Police Officers have no respect for these old girls ;)
  16. Green Ebay machine is happening :D It will be on the road in the next few months ;) I have two now, and mixing and matching parts from each of them. Some parts will be surplus to requirements therefore the wrecking thread. I'm on the hunt now for as many 20's as I can get my hands on regardless of the condition :D This shell is actually quite clean and straight so I have mixed feelings about it. Originally it was going to be chopped in half but I don't know if I can :P
  17. Oh my god - now I am going to spend even more money in the FS section ;) But good work makes it loads easier to find local gear :D
  18. maybe..... ;)
  19. Know what you mean, the burn is unreal!!! And you ALWAYS cut yourself when working on cars ;)
  20. Ok so I paid for this tonight and it will be getting picked up by my towie by the end of the week!! Originally I was buying it for parts for my brother in laws 20 but after looking at it tonight I might have fallen for it. A few ideas I had for it: 1. Hillclimb/Track Day Special/Drifter/Super Sprinter 2. Mild Street/plus no.1 3. Street Car 4. Cut it in half and turn it into a trailer 5. Summernats Special Convertible Might be too much work to sort out rego to get it back on the road which is why some ideas don't involve rego. When I get it here I will be able to make more of an idea of what to do with it. Some options for engines include: 1. 4AGE 20V (I know I know already done that with my other car) 2. 13B J Port with Weber 3. Hot 5K So yeah plenty of ideas and probably still more to come!!!! I want it to be a budget build so that might throw most ideas out the window ;) The only pics I have so far: I know - doesn't look like much but all the trims, lights, bumpers etc come with it :D
  21. Could be a leaking wheel cylinder??? Or drums alignment?? Does the feel come back when you pump the pedal a few times?? I am doubting that it is the brake master cylinder at this stage given the symptoms you describe :jamie:
  22. Wicked! I get to see this thing all the time because my missus parents live across the road from Nick :jamie: I have the yellow KE11
  23. Picking up a KE20 on Saturday too to be this ones partner in crime :jamie:
  24. I think I know where you have seen them. Give it a go, just leave a note in the letter box :jamie:
  25. Just awesome Even more emo I missed out on this now after seeing the pics :D Next time me and my 11 are down for sure :)
