Get your panties out of a twist I was joking dear :) As for spotting I saw some cool Rolla's in Birdwood yesterday arvo when I went for a look past the Bay to Birdwood Classic :)
-
I know the one you speak of, the guy is a twat, did a u turn in front of my car the other week almost taking me and my missus out if not for the fact I could tell a stupid manouevre was coming. I know where this car resides so I can leave him a note if you like, a note will be much nicer than what I originally had planned. Four flat tyres would be a bitch to sort out, noone has four spares :P

I too have seen this one Matt, long story short it was for sale a little while ago on the side of South Road, immaculate, then some kid has bought it and it now the last time I seen it it had green parkers and has a bowling ball size dent in the rear quarter panel due to some hektik drift action. If it is the same one I am guessing you just didn't see it from the right side to see the damage. It had a sunroof too and I seriously considered buying it when it was on the side of the road. I love my big Toyota Sedans :P

Cruise/meet This Friday 18th Harbour Town Maccas 7:30pm

Not wanting to bring too much negativity here however Who was the person driving the Ke70 with the chrome bars (Tally's old car)??? You sir are a complete twat, trying to drift all the time on the street and worst of all right next to that overrated 1200 ute. I should have stayed till the end so I could kick you fair in the nuts :jamie: Next time you think of coming please remind yourself not to. I am surprised noone else has commented on his driving or did noone else see it :) -
Last time I bought a throw out bearing it was $12. Do you really want to put it all together, spend hours working on it only to find you are annoyed because the bearing is noisy and for the measly sum of $12 and a few minutes work you needn't have had to worry about it at all. Just Do It :jamie:

Somewhere like Fours N More in Pooraka would be able to do a conversion like this. Not wanting to diss them too much but they are not the cheapest. At the same time they do know what they are doing and are big fans of the 20 valve engine. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to get a quote from them. I wouldn't go anywhere else in SA to have Toyota work done despite their pricing. Tom this is not a particularly hard conversion, pretty much bolt in so you would have to be pretty damn busy to want to pay someone upwards of $1000 in labour to do it for you. Luke

This whole thing smells fishy :jamie:

Just goes to show sometimes the spontaneous ones are the best. Good turn out and nice to meet some of you!!! I didn't stay til the end but was still good  -
I saw Lesley's VIXEN last night at the Crafers Bus Interchange. You parked right next to my Grey Mazda 3. I got out my car, but since you didn't get out and all your windows were up I didn't want to freak you out by knocking on your window or something. Otherwise I would have introduced myself  I parked next to you again in the little shops there, I was getting some Indian take-away, not stalking you. Again I missed you though so couldn't introduce. Might see you tonight though at the meet up I suppose

Dude they are not the original Superlight centre caps on RA28GT's KE20 but custom ones made up which were originally for other rims. Peruse the Performance Website and see how much ass they look like with the centre caps on
-
Is that a single cam AE82 sedan I can see towards the bottom of the page?? How JDM is that
-
Do a google image search for MA rims or similar, most cars you see them on have the caps removed. On KE's in particular I think they look better. Oh and Superlights are another example of centre caps looking gay, how much do they stand out with the caps on? yuck
-
Take the centre caps off the MA's, will look so much better

I'll be down in the AE71 - hope to see a good turnout  -
Trav different states different rules..... also, different emissions regs apply to different age cars here in SA at least, you could probably get away with it in a pre-80's car :lolcry:
-
You are not going to find something as simple as "trumpets on a 20V or similar". The issue surrounding the trumpets would be more of an emissions type etc. ie. does running an open trumpet set-up affect mixtures and therefore emissions to make the car non compliant. This will depend on the type of car you are putting the engine in and the age and emissions for that era :lolcry:

I thought about the affordability in my choice. Hell I hate Holden's and will probably have to shower everytime I get out of it to wash off the Holden germs but for the price I can get late model Commodores for I can't say no to it. And the cheap parts, etc etc. :lolcry:

Ae71 Wagon - Interior Lights, Clock
LukeAE71 replied to BlindKidSeeks's topic in AExx Corolla Discussion
I just hope you didn't spend too long trying to suss it out, I spent far too long before I found the pesky extra fuse box :lovin: Glad I could help and it works :lolcry: -
Ae71 Wagon - Interior Lights, Clock
LukeAE71 replied to BlindKidSeeks's topic in AExx Corolla Discussion
I love these topics, after having gone through this myself I reckon I have the answer. Underneath the driver's side front kick panel there is another fuse box. About three bolts removed will have the kick panel off in under 5 mins. The fuse is labelled "room". It controls the interior lights and strangely the clock as well. The clock must be part of your overall "room" experience :lolcry: God knows why they put a fuse box there, but they did :lovin: -
What if you could get a 3 year old Commo for around $6K. Don't be too narrowminded  Tell me what else you can get for around that money....err nothing!! I would rather spend sweet fa on a family car (provided it was safe and reliable) and have the other money for my fun cars. It's not like you can drive spirited with kids in the car anyway, or wives for that matter, at least not mine :hmm: I agree with Manual when it is for family it is meant to be cheap and cheerful. The weekend toy is different, no way I would ever put my Corolla on LPG but the family wagon hell yes

I am not usually a fan of this model of Corolla but I like this Congrats to you mate, you have done a good job with it :lolcry:

Make something definite in your first post and then see if in the next few days it generates a bit more interest Say Friday night 7:30 at Harbourtown near Macca;s :lolcry: -
I will have a think about what I can do and then post it up and see if it generates some interest. I am not in Lobethal though, but there are plenty of ways to get in and out of the area while the road is closed provided you are prepared earlier in the day. The road is closed for approximately 4 hours so if you don't park in the right spot you would be stuck there for the whole time, not that that is an issue as it is a great event
