My name is Luke and I have an AE71. Here are some pics of how she started in life. She was delivered from Toyota as a stock auto AE71. She has done some 140,000 k’s before the head decided it was enough and blew it’s stack. I have since decided to replace the engine with a 20 Valve 4AGE. It will also be converted to manual at the same time. All parts have been acquired, all that is required now is some more motivation and maybe some spare time on the weekends. Anyway, pics. I will post more pics as this thing progresses. I would say it is about another month or so away from the road, purely due to funds shortage. To those of you who are wondering about my choice of theme with this car, my explanation is that I wanted to do something different. In my opinion the drift look on KE70's and AE71's has been done to death. The JDM look has also been done quite a lot with varying success and anything with decent offset and styling in Adelaide doesn't last too long without a defect sticker attached. The Nana look has been done quite a bit with the older rollas but not so much with this shape. I also chose the Nana look as this car is so clean and fresh it suits it. I plan on keeping this car for a long time anyway and I guess the theme will evolve and change as time goes on.

I'm guessing none of you have owned a rotary before, flames available on demand!!! And sometimes even when you don't want them :y: -
Its in Alstonville wherever that is?? :bash:

Dave's panno is a failwagon at it's best. Sorry but no love here for that thing :y: Spotted a clean beige flat front 70 wagon yesterday on Unley Road, fark it was clean. The driver was pretty tidy too :bash:

:bash: Hopefully with the payout you can buy a KE

You must have me confused with someone else. I am not putting a 4K in my AE71. 20 Valve yes, 4K no. I also have not owned a Skyline or been dodgy...... :y: Meh :bash:

Matt I have some of this stuff, ie coil etc from my conversion that I will not be needing. If you require any let me know as I will just be throwing them in the bin soon.

Is it like it is missing a beat or something?? It could be your points need cleaning or adjusting

Despite the fact that this is a clear April Fools joke, this should also serve as another indication to you that R31's are gay. Why do you hang around on a Corolla forum when all you speak of is ED Falcons and how you can't wait to buy an R31?????

Enquire directly with AQIS about the requirements for a role there. We had AQIS people on site where I used to work (meatworks, yes they don't just work at the Airport doing Customs and Border Security) and they did courses run through AQIS from what I can remember. I do not recall any type of Uni involvement in this type of career but best to enquire with AQIS direct. They can also send you out for work experience too if you like just to see if you like the role before committing to it as a 'role for life'. Luke -

OMG I just played the funniest joke on my friend for April Fool's Day, and she fell for it hard  ;) ;) -
Be patient Tom it will come together. Most people don't post that they are coming and they do. Others post that they are coming and don't. Anyway, I had a dream about this last night, it was epic, there was about 70 or so KE's. I was in heaven, well, at least until I woke up

Hi there, I am looking to buy a part from Yager Performance and would like some assistance from a member here. All I need is for the member to take my money (transferred into your bank account with some extra for your assistance), collect a part from Yager and post it to me. Let me know if any of you are willing to help with this thanks. PM me with your details if your keen. Luke

Like I said in my PM if you can give me your current offsets and widths I can tell you what they will sit like.

Yeah it's so cool to talk about dragging given what happened in Adelaide over the weekend. Grow up the lot of you. My OMG is that I finally found the last item to make my engine conversion all together so I can put it in. -

That looks awesome mate. It's always good to have your car in a wedding. I had one of mine in my wedding and it made for a wicked day. Maybe you should make an honest woman of your gf and then yours can star in your own wedding  -
Just make sure you fill them out well.... I was disappointed last year to notice that not many entrants went to much effort to fill out their info forms. I get that they don't want the whole world to know what they may be packing, but if that is the case then don't enter it into a show

I love that shape of Galant!! Nice work  -

I guess I should be grateful my dad has some clue and took an interest then. WGMG x 2 for today - the axe is falling around here at work and I'm probably next. Not cool with a baby on the way.

You could look at Performance Wheels but the closest thing they have to jap wheels would be the superlite which is like a Watanabe. They can be drilled to any pattern and come in a range of good offsets and widths. They are locally made too and best of all are brand new!! I would love to see you running 13 x 7 and 13 x 8 Superlites on that KE20. Unfortunately they do not make a x 9 in Superlite. They go 7, 8 and then 10" wide.

I completely agree with you Lesley. I remember what I was like when I first got my licence and I did some stupid stuff. I don't even have kids yet (one on the way though  ) but seeing what happened on the weekend here in SA makes me worried about my kids getting behind the wheel. I guess all you can do is take an interest in them and their vehicle and hope that they use common sense. What grinds my gears is some of the crap cars and the mods performed to them by young kids with next to no money which almost always renders them unsafe for the road and the occupants. Where are the parents in these situations?? I know for sure that my old man would never have let me perform some of the mods you see kids doing these days let alone letting me drive such an unsafe vehicle...... You can bet your bottom dollar that the cars with these mods and kids in them will very likely not have insurance... All you have to do is have a low impact accident with an expensive car and that's a hell of a long time on $6 an hour to pay it off ;)

My Mazda 3 is not high powered and even it does it :( This is a mad car though and would catch a fair few out. Keep it sleeper. If you do go a front mount make sure you paint it black. :)
