Thanks for the advise mate, :) Seriously i can't see anything wrong with the way it all performs? Dad and i mucked around with the timing i put bigger jets in the carby, i adjusted all of the tappets with feeler gauges and put new spark plugs in it. :) Do you know what needed to be improved? :) The way its going at the moment it doesn't miss a beat, performs good at idle, good cruising and its got power when you want it. Just wondering why you think its so far out of whack? :blush: Thanks TAZ

G'day mate, i dunno yet. Not sure if i should just chuck that whole driveline into the KE30. We've got too many cars; HZ ute, WB 1 tonne campervan, Hyandai Scoupe, Daihatsu Sirion, EF Fairlane wagon and a standard EF wagon, Ford laser wagon ghia thing. KE55 rolla and a KE30 rolla also 2 box trailers, a pop top caravan and a 4 wheeler haha. and most of the time the girlfriends 323 is out the back too lol Anyway i know it would be illegal to swap the engines but what are your thought on my plans? G'day guys, i have had a KE55 project for about a year now, lost intrest and is still sitting in the backyard. Seen a chick driving a KE30 around for a few months and always wanted to ask her about if she'd ever sell it, but couldn't get into contact with her. Then my girlfriend told me that she knew the girl. So my girlfriend gave me the ke30 chicks number, So i messaged her. Looked at the car the next day and bought the car the day after. It has some rust, but i can fix it due to now owning a MIG welder for the past few days :) Bought some sort of Corona alloys for $150 with about 95% tread :blush: Anyway here are some pictures of the old girl. It now has sheep skin seat covers in front instead of frangapani covers and a granny knitted blanket over the back seat. lol

It'd be great if everyone came to the north-west side for the next cruise then i'd definatly be in :) I just bought a KE30 about a week ago, so now that i've got a rolla i can come for my first cruise. :blush: Let us know when and where the cruise will be happening. Just wondering what modifications (if any) i would have to do to put a KE55 'non' banjo diff into a ke20? Maybe its a salisbury?? I can't remember what they're called lol

G'day guys. Just wondering if anyone knows if there is an easy strut conversion to do just so that the spring seat sits about 2-3 inches higher? Because i've brought a set of 17" Mags for my KE55 but the spring seat is only just sticking out too far and my wheel wont get enough clearance to bolt on. Any help would be greatly appreciated :yes: Cheers Mark.

Thanks Taz. the only reason i might swap the exhaust is because the one i've got on it at the moment sits fairly low (As you probably know) and it has to be at least a 10cm gap between the exhaust and road. Its about 8-9cm at the moment and i'm not sure if he'll let it past or not. Today i started the rolla and there was an extra noise coming from the rocker cover. This is what it was The pushrod had fallen out of the rocker, she's all fixed now though. Click on the pic to enlarge and you'll see it better. Also the rocker cover gasket was ripped and torn, also leaking. So i'll buy one soon.

So it will be fine? Because my mate has a mandrel bender and the biggest stuff his bender will do is 2 inch. And he only wants $40 bucks plus materials to do it? :) Thanks machg

Okay so today i finished off my fuel assembly. new fuel return line, malpassi fuel regulator all hooked up properly and new "custom" accelerator cable mount (Home made). I'll try and get a picture of engine bay up soon up soon. cheers ;)

Alright so i took the corolla for a test run yesterday. Goes really good, ALOT better than the standard 4K! Definatley no problems except for a ticking noise in the gearbox. Not too sure what the noise is? can't wait till its legal to drive on the road ;)

All he is going to do is check everything as if its a standard engine ie, engine mounts, crossmember and the usual brakes and suspension. If it passes the engine number will be stamped on the plate/firewall and rego papers. I've got it all sorted mate. I made sure that i knew it wasn't going to be too much mucking around before i swapped everything out. ;) I finally got my hydraulic master cylinder (Fu*kin BURSONS) :( I'll chuck that all in tomorrow, bleed it then go for a test run. Thanks for all the pre-cautions TAZ. For my sake i hope your not right lol. :P But i'm taking robs word for it cause he is the one PITTING it lol Cheers :)
