  1. Thanks simon, i might have to stick with the locked dizzy for a while though. lol  Well after looking in the FAQ section at front suspension.brake upgrades, i have decided to go with the TA22 front brake setup, looks/sounds fairly straight forward. I can get the parts reasonably cheap from a local wrecker. Lowered springs and new shocks all round from autobarn ect.. So i'll be doing that in the next month or so i think. Soon i'll be relocating batery to the boot, moving the air intake to the turbo pod filter to where the battery is usually situated. Then i'll be getting a different intercooler and a mandrel bent piping setup. ;) I've also found a 2T/3T fuel injection setup on a Japanese yahoo aution webite. All up costs including postage are around $210 AUD which isnt too bad i don't think. Then the fun will begin. :hmm: So plenty of things will be happening shortly!! Cheers, Mark.
  2. Why? I loved this project.. Mark.
  3. Is there any way to over come the problem, apart from the obvious? (unlocking it lol) It is fairly annoying lol..
  4. KE30 for sure.. I'd prefer the round shape rolla over the square ae82.. Thats just my 2 bob anyway :jamie: Oh and rear wheel driveness  Cheers, Mark.
  5. Looks like heaps of fun Simon. I wish i could have been there. Although I'm not too sure how quick my car would get down the quarter, don't want to embarrass myself. Haha. You done well, 15.4 with slippery track = Awesome. Cheers Mark.
  6. G'day Simon, I don't think the 3.8L rad will fix. My intercooler piping is probably about 200mm from the standard radiator on one side and about 150mm on the other. So however long the standard radiator is plus 350mm is all i have to play with. I'm guessing the commodore radiator would be longer. But yes as you said, it shouldnt have any problem cooling the 1.6L I'm amazed that this thing hasnt fully broken down on me yet. Although cold mornings suck bumcrack without an automatic or manual choke and no butterflies in my webber anymore. So i just have to feather the accelerator to warm it up enough to drive. Quite loud for the neighbours at 7am in the morning :bash:
  7. Thanks guys, we ended up staying at "Sandors On The Park" Wasn't the best hotel/motel if stayed in.. Didn't get much sleep, very noisey there. People sneaking other people in through the windows and having parties. But oh well, it was only $100 so i can't complain too much. Thanks for helping out fellas.. Cheers Mark
  8. Thanks everyone. Simon, i didnt realise that Targa was in Launceston this weekend!! Thats more than likely the reason everywhere is booked out.. Most of those places sound nice, but booked out, though i didn't check the backpacker place. I don't think i wouldnt really like to stay in a backpackers hotel, i'd just be unsure all night lol. Could always sleep in the car, but i think it'd get too cold lol. So anyone else going to the monster trucks this weekend? Thanks fellas
  9. G'day everyone.. Does anybody know of any fairly cheap places to stay in launceston this weekend? My girlfriend and myself are heading to the monster trucks on Saturday and trying to find some good/cheap accomodation. Plenty of places are fully booked. can't really be bothered driving back to Burnie after we watch the monster trucks. Just thought someone might know of somewhere thanks. Cheers Mark.
  10. Will the commonwhore radiator improve alot? Yeah the T series inlet/outlet are still in the same position as the standard K. I'm actually still using the standard K series radiator. How hard is it and what is the rough cost of dropping the VN-VR radiator in? I've got a hyandai Scoupe radiator but it looks too big to even go close to the standard rad mounts. Also got a Kinswood radiator in the shed, good condition, maybe i could use that just like a commodore 1? Thanks for the help Simon.
  11. Car was playing up a fair bit for the last few days, finally looked under the bonnet and all it was, was 1 of the spark leads were only just plugged into the distributor lol. I took it for its furthest drive yet, from Burnie, up to table cape lookout (Wynyard), back through Burnie, through to Penguin. Up Zig Zag road for a bit of a desired detour, Ulverstone, then back along the highway to Burnie! Quite impressed with it. I am going to upgrade to a bigger radiator, hopefully one that wont be too much hastle to fit. I think i'm going to be needing some new tyres soon if my adrenaline doesn't settle itself down :lolcry: Going out the back now to give it a bit of TLC. Wash the body, clean all windows inside and out, tyre black, armour all the interior and give it a nice vacuum ;) Cheers, Mark
  12. G'day mate, Just read your thread from start to finish! I never liked this model of Corolla but i think you've just changed my mind. You rolla looks sweet with the little mags on it and you engine bay is clean as! Cheers, Mark.
  13. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 6 MONTHS REGO NOW ASKING $900 FIRM NEED IT GONE ASAP! SHE NEEDS AN AUTOMATIC WILL CONSIDER SWAPS
  14. That Escort is sweet as. Is it yours?

  15. I've got mum's falcon thats got a towball, might have access to a free tandom trailer for the weekend, not sure if its registered or not, as one of our dodgy mates ownes it lol. Knowing my luck i probably would break something, so maybe i'm better off towing it down.
  16. I know its not that far, but i don't know how reliable my car is, and i don't really wanna break down and be stuck somewhere. It would be awesome to come along though!
  17. Why do i have to live all the way in Burnie? lol  Oh well....
  18. I'm guessing that they'd fit mate
  19. I'm fairly set to go any weekend? Now its just, when and where lol

Up for sale is my girlfriends car it is as follows. 1984 Mazda 323 Hatch - 1.5 Litre, 5 Speed Manual 250,xxxkms on the clock - CD/MP3 Player, 6x9 Speakers in the rear parcel shelf. -Central locking - New Head gasket 3 or 4 months ago, head was pressure tested at the time of the gasket replacement. - Service History along with original tool kit! - 2 Spare Tyres - At end of month i'm going to put 6 month rego on it. - VERY FUEL ECONOMICAL!! Quick sale, need to buy an automatic, will consider swaps! My girlfriend just got her P's in an automatic but now she can't drive her little 323 since its manual, so she really needs an automatic car. In my opinion it is a very good little car, reliable, it'll take you anywhere you wanna go!!!! She is asking around $1200 ONO
  21. Monza racing seats wont be going into my car anymore, sold them to Toy-Yoda yesterday. Parts for sale, see them in the "parts for sale around tassie" thread! Cheers
  22. PMs for everybody :y: that includes you Toy-Yoda and Simon. Cheers I thought that there'd be more people after a 5 speed box??????
  23. In my opinon the cube looks OK definately looks better than the Toyota Rukus. They all remind me of Twinkies (Bow Wow's) Hulk car off Tokyo Drift. (VW Touran i think?) I personally would not drive any of these cars but each to their own i guess. But yes car trends are like fashions, everything comes and goes. Mark.
