funny you should ask.
i asked stu (kickn5k) what plugs i should be running with the added compression. he told me a colder range plug, installed colder plug and now shes leaning out in the higher rev. I'm positive its got not enough spark in the higher revs
its out of a xf 250 x flow thing. dads got around 15 of them in the shed
sounds like a you done a head gasket.
so you top up the coolant when cold and when its cold again its all in the overflow?
has the coolant got a dark tint to it?
turn the heater to hot and drive it. do it suddenly get cold?
exhaust gases in the coolant.
like this or the module tucked under the coil.
edit - wait till i finish it. I'm pretty sure i can make them for around the $150 mark. plug in a play system.
i think the best way would be to run a light in series of the solenoid wire aka
solenoid + wire. - side of the light and + side to the solenoid on the starter.
if you turn the engine off and dims its a getting current when it shouldnt.
could be wiring, relay or ignition switch.
let me know how it goes
if you put a big cam in it and don't shave the head youll need longer push rods. (if there not enough adjustment in the rockers)
my machinist explained all of this when i was doing my cam/head work
this is why you shave the head when you get a cam.
they remove the meat from your cam base circle (lets say 40thou)
now your rocker geometry is up the shit house. now you shave the head 40 thou and get some compression up her and retain good geometry
