  1. Added some 4x4 wheel arch flare along the stock lip to give it back some of that low agressiveness of the old lip. Plus its rubber so I wont smash it to bits.
  2. Ah didn't know about the angle thing. Just seen heaps of people mount them that way, but it makes sense. I wouldn't trust the parcel shelf unless it was reinforced.
  3. If the engine wasn't native to the chassis it needs to be engineered. No KE came with a 7k.
  4. If you're not running rear seats attach them to the lower inside seat belt mounting points. That way with the straps angled down to the floor they will hold you down in your seat.
  5. Next : new rear flares. Gonna make my own.
  6. I'm coming for your ring. This is it done. Cut the lower 'rung' off it.
  7. Did yours have a speed sensor in the dash even thought it was carbied?
  8. I came across this picture , kinda liked it. Just happened to find a louvre in a 2nd hand store that kinda was the same shape. This is a test fit. And seeing as the genuine dealer option ones seem to be non-existent... So one thing led to another. Made a small panel to fill between the roof and the top. WIngnut bolts into the original mounting points for the stock roof lip. Couple of brackets off the C pillar trim mounts. Done, might trim the sides a bit so its more angular. Possibly fill the lower corners. Total cost $5.
  9. AJPS will sell you and adjustable spring/perch combo so you can retain the original setup but have adjustable height.
  10. Pulled off the edge of a driveway and did a boo boo. So I fixed it. Then the next day I decided to do some more improvised off roading across some pot holed shit. Stock spoiler back on, kinda prefer it.
  11. 11/10 would buy if I had the room, be a perfect daily.
  12. Check local laws. Some are draconian when it comes to emissions. It won't affect performance in any way.
  13. Yeah, Ive gotta pull them apart and inspect. Too Cold for cars today. And if going by the rest of the car I've had to fix I'm guessing the bearings are stock original.
  14. Started getting a steering wobble under braking, thought I'd have a peek. Found this, unrelated to the wobble but yeah. Sway bar resting against the LCA, plus the sway bar ball joint was on a crazy angle. Not really sure how whoever installed them managed that. Wound the links up as far as I could and gained about 10mm minimum at the closest through the turning range. As for the steering wobble I think the crazy offset has flogged out the front right bearings. Theres a bit of movement up and down and also side to side and all tie rods etc seem good. I'll order a new front set and install them and all the front bushes in one go. Yay cars.
  15. Do you have the ISCV and all that crap hooked up? Or have you cut out the fat? I'm guessing as you're down south the ISCV would be worth it. I had massive idle hunt after I did the HG on the AW. Turns out I forgot to plus in the temp sensor on the thermostat housing :/ CEL standard FTW.
  16. Like the holocaust. Jesus Reed, what the ʞ©$ɟ.
  17. Found some 20V primaries and secondaries for sale. Will whack those on with a new exhaust as the Magnaflow is too loud. Kinda over cars at the moment. Dunno if it's the cold weather or getting old but I just cbf .
  18. I have a no name cheapie. It doesnt quite line up properly but I just go a few past and try and be consistent. I heard the ALDI ones are actually really good for a cheap one. Only like $25. All the gear is looking great. I really wanna go carbs but am unsure of the noise vs performance. Maybe 20V
  19. There are also cheaper options. I used one of these, http://www.ogiptech.com/product.html The only issue I had was the clutch slave needed to be spaced out about 10mm. Its not pretty like the niteparts but it worked perfectly fine for me. I didnt need any spacers, used a stock W55 throwout carrier, and a 4AGZE clutch. (W55)
  20. Dude dropped off the radar hard. And I fully understand why.
  21. The bearing will be a bitch to replace as they freeze the bearing and heat the plate so it kinda gets wedged in there pretty good.
  22. If you have a T50 to fit a KE20 drive shaft it may work in your favour.
  23. They have different output spline counts from memory. EDIT: but pretty sure the bells should swap over
