  1. Say what you want about the lip but it just carved the best bow wave through flood waters so I could get home. Carpet is a bit wet.
  2. I just gotta say I love how this website has brought together a bunch of guys in Australia, a guy from Denmark (sorry Sznaps if I got that wrong I'm on my phone so can't see your location) and a guy from I'm assuming Russia or that Eastern Block area. All talking the same language even if we communicate with different languages. This makes me happy about cars.
  3. My ecu didn't fail, I didn't have a fusible Link and I fried it. Might pay to open it up and check the capacitors.
  4. MAP sensor vacuum hose blocked or split?
  5. Lost the foggies and threw the front bar on. Had to take 60mm out of the middle and trim a few bits. Kinda like the black look but it definitely looked better when the matt black was wet so I think I'll give it a nice gloss coat. Really want some more aggressive wheels, flares and the gurney wing now. Exhaust noise it the manifold gasket, very tractor like at the moment. Anyone know where to get a metal ring gasket or something decent thats not hundreds of dollars? Or should I just bite the bullet and get one from Toyota? EDIT: Nevermind, SQ Enginerring has good ones and only $25
  6. Managed to get a new accelerator cable too. That was fun to fit in my bro in laws garage with pretty much no tools. There's pretty much nothing else I need to fix now, right?
  7. Scored a lip.
  8. Yay, another thing broke. Accelerator cable is binding.
  9. http://www.themotorhood.com/themotorhood/2015/4/21/video-scandinavian-flickfest So good.
  10. Parts for RWC ended up being about $630 delivered from the states. OEM handbrake cables, aftermarket rear tie rod arms, brass bush gear links and shifter mounts (not RWC needed but were cheap enough). Wish the AUD was a bit stronger but hey shit happens.
  11. We're all here for the fart jokes.
  12. Breakfast burritos
  13. I'll take : not 6 grand.
  14. Still wet in this pic, matt black rust kill paint. It'll do for now. And this isnt right, its not right at all!
  15. MCM was always meant to be accessible grass roots driveway mods that can be done by anyone. This guy is on another level entirely. It's like comparing Nikki Minaj to Pink Floyd.
  16. Pulled the frunk lining out and found this. Lucky its mostly surface with a small hole. I wire brushed it and I'll smash it with some rust kill paint tomorrow. Ticked one thing off the list, sorted out the heater tap. Bleeding the system is interesting considering the amount of cooling piping. You have a bleeder tap at the top of the radiator and one off the heater tap. You need to attack some hoses and hang them up higher that the radiator cap. Then you open a tap on top of the thermostat housing which runs to the overflow bottle. I hacked up the old hose to bypass the tap to had to rangi one up to test it, Ill grab a new hose of the guy I'm getting the front lip from. Talked to a guy from the states about the rear tie rods and handbrake cables. I'll probably swap dizzys and sort the sump leak tomorrow.
  17. Probably gonna drop a lot of cash on this for some suspension upgrades and do the lot at once. New everything, sway bar upgrades etc. Also the guy I bought parts off on Saturday emailed me back and said I can have the front lip he has for only $50. Plus I'm gonna have a crack at making a BMW E30 style gurney flap for it. I have a vision.

  19. Externally reg ones are the devil.
  20. Yeah 2 years old now. Picked up 2 heater taps and a door hinge. He had handbrake cables but didn't know if his mate who wanted them was 100% so couldn't get them. I'll just get them remade. That rear tie rod inner though. I don't want to have deal with Toyota for it. Maybe I'll shell out 200 odd for aftermarket.
  21. It was the ladies screaming as he drove past.
  22. Got under it tonight. The handbrake cable boots are gone and the lines are full of crap. even soaking them in WD40 didnt help. The LHS rear inner tie rod bush is gone, and a replacement is looking hard to find, there wasnt one in the poly kit. Trev sorted me out with a heater tap. Gonna need new copper washers for the oil return line.
  23. This will probably be massive https://www.facebook.com/events/790488994381031/
  24. Anywhere but Sydney :P If you like electronic music then definitely check out Home nightclub. http://homesydney.com/ I used to go there with my mates a lot. Lots of different rooms with different electronic acts. Bondi Beach isnt that great, its dirty and gross.
