  1. I did a similar CAI. Ended up sucking up water and screwing my AFM. Maybe in the airbox part have a 90 degree bend facing down so it still gets air flow but any sucked up liquid wont be directed straight onto the filter.
  2. The dude was togue-ing it pretty much every night. I doubt he did an oil change or bothered putting good oils in for hill thrashing.
  3. I'll bring the 33
  4. Also assuming all timing marks (cams and crank/timing gear have been checked? Mine was out by a tooth and would idle fine but die when revving.
  5. Yeah specs are the same. If you have the time I'd pull the entire throttle body off to do it and give the idle port a good clean out, and make sure all the other unnecessary ports in the throttle body are blocked off. Edit, reread first post, might be the aav port isn't blocked creating a vac leak. https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQDobjuvtxRGfdVRHhoB50NzhrcmhXYgfMOJQtjPLxIOTxgGul3DVkXbOjY. I'm assuming a cut and shut manifold with ISCV delete?
  6. Where's the vac leak. Edit: have you adjusted the tps to specs? Throttle body idle adjustment screw isn't all the way in or the port blocked?
  7. WGMG: How much I like this Skyline. I don't think I could daily another car without aircon and power steer. I need a shed and a weekend Toyota. WGMG part 2: How much I miss the MR2 :(
  8. Might pay to check your fusible links at the battery.
  9. For a skyline it's very tidy. Interior is pretty unmolested. Rear seats look showroom. Goes pretty good too.
  10. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/proxy/YJYyMMsDvNIUgUNCzmLKVBUVdQwh8e5qx7zxWUnAgNWUHZFnlem2TXyImzRNhRdfEiLAFZohxROFnxvQZPKg7H5JobBb0IJYRhaE3K-sZu9mF_YzkRDhi1RP=w584-h252-nc
  11. Yeah its definitely not my cup of tea. Supposedly it's genuine and rare as shit though. Might be able to get a good trade for something less Fast and Furious.
  12. Dirty Nissan. :( Not gonna lie, it's pretty nice to drive, even with the button clutch. I definitely got a good deal but it was still hard. When he test drove the aw11 I almost couldn't do it. That rear wing though. *vomits*
  13. I'm only in it for the 4 seats. Plus it's a pretty good deal for me. If I don't like it it will be easier to trade again. Really don't want to let the aw go, but I don't have room for another car, or the money :(
  14. Elegant. Simple. Awesome.
  15. Couldn't believe how awesome the interior came up with a bit of elbow grease, some spray on stain remover and a bucket of hot soapy water and rags. Seats look new. Some stains I thought were oil on the carpet came right out. Can't imagine what a wet vac could do. Managed to fix the sunroof cover and a few other niggling issues in an afternoon. Funny how the only time you fix the small things is when you may sell it.
  16. Swaps for a dirty Nissan. I'm gonna go see the guy tomorrow. I'm not really keen to let the aw11 go but I need 4 seats with the family just in case. I haven't been offered anything remotely decent up until this. I got some info about the Celica that put me off. Supposedly it was a very dodgy engine/transmission swap. I didn't want to waste my time. Will update tomorrow or Sunday.
  17. Cleaned and detailed it today. May swap it this weekend.
  18. Wow!
  19. In all honesty it's probably not worth fixing. I would think if you shopped around that you wouldnt pay more than $20 for another gearbox. Have you done a fluid change?
  20. When I sprayed my car in my tiny townhouse garage I just bought 2 $10 fans from k mart and had them cranking. Bet my neighbors hated me. :D
  21. I wouldn't run 108, bend studs or run adapters. You could upgrade to *e30-*e70 struts easy enough, which would give you 4x114.3 plus a brake upgrade. You can get *e30 rear axles shortened 10mm or so and will fit your diff to give you 114.3 on the rear as well. Or you could look on Mazda/rotary facebook pages and forums. Early mazdas were 4x110 as well, that's where n I found wheels for my ke18.
  22. Love your work.
  23. I gotta say this is probably one of the few AE86's I really admire. It really is a function > form car in the best sense. Unofficial Rollaclub Car Of The Year for me tied with Matts KE30.
  24. $4500 on paint on a $1000 car is a lot. Is it being fully built top to bottom?
