Installed the SMIC, definitely an improvement. Things got out of hand fast. Fixed the dodgy front bar mounts so everything lines up now. And.... Heart indicators.... Video of indicators.

These are the 3 dimensions. This is why on some E7 the AE86 strut tops will work, but on others they won't.

There's 3 different strut top bolt patterns. I'd say the 84 struts would be from an AE71 so that may be why they were different? Edit: around the other way.

Maybe your mechanical fuel pump isn't keeping up?

Picked up the side skirts today. Managed to get them for $40. Peeled the black plastidip off the bottom of the front bar too.

Managed to get the handle off the rear without too much damage.

The aw11 came in with an auto box with 4agze. Any 4AG* auto box will bolt on though. Not sure if the ae1* came in auto.

GTT r34 smic is bigger. It's a good upgrade when running a stock turbo.

Sorted out the SMIC. $45 posted. Theres a guy local selling a pair of 400R side skirts too for only $50, one has a small crack on the bottom. Gonna grab them to match the front bar. Plus I have found a white boot lid with a series 1 spoiler on it, so the big wang will be history. I may look into modifying a 180SX rocket bunny type spoiler onto the rear yet but I have to find the time to go see a local dealer and check if it will work. I'll definitely need to cut a bit out of the middle.

Every t series diff can take an lsd. Corona disc brakes can be modified to fit relatively easy.

Good job, might not be pretty but I've seen worse. At least it's metal and not rust.

I make it sound massive compared to stock It can flow more and cool better but it's not physically much bigger. And all the sock piping will remain.

It doesn't get as hot. It's a proven cheap upgrade on a stock motor without adding the extra piping for a front mount.

I'm wondering if the speedo gear in the box is just worn and slipping.

Did you check the speedo against anything prior to the swap? Did it use to be auto?

Download a GPS speedo app and check your speed against that.

Speedo cable will work the same between boxes.
