  1. i think with the styling of your gauges (especially tacho) the chrome pilot lamps would look best as they match alot better and the chrome lip just gives it a bit of class. the push in ones look a bit cheap IMO.
  2. this is such a good car. that dash is awesome.
  3. no idea on specs, but I'm also a blower fan. haha, play on words

    Adelaide

never been to perth but A guy at work whos lived both there and here has said Adelaide's alot like perth, but less import cars (silvias, skylines etc) more cops, and more commo's/falcons lol. i'd say its pretty relaxed around here, even at the busy times the citys still not too bad, easy to get around with free city loop buses and terrace to terrace trams. its pretty small compared to most Australian capitals, so its hard to get lost. the main "centre" of the cbd is rundle mall with they're 700 odd shops or something. for nightlife there are pubs in almost every suburb, few clubs scattered in the city, and the casino is right next to the train station. the biggest street on fridays and saturdays is hindley street as it's lined with clubs and bars, couple of gentlemens clubs along there too. i suppose with it being the central area thats why it has a bad rep, you want to watch your back once it gets past 1-2am. theres a constant stream of cops so most issues get resolved pretty quick. during the day though its completely different, hindley is like any other place, shops here and there, no one trying to start anything. i've grown up around the blackwood/belair area, which is about 10km south of the cbd just in the foothills. ive found the area to be great, there's plenty of shops for convenience, but not too many so its still has that relaxed suburbs feel. close to beaches, about 15km. close to cinemas, and good hills lookouts and country areas. when your locating watch out for like elizabeth area if your going up north, and i spose christies beach down south, they don't have the best rep. personally i prefer southern suburbs, i suppose because theyre closer and i know people who live down south. western suburbs and especially north west are the 'richer' areas. eastern areas are... well i've never really heard anything interesting that goes on in the eastern suburbs, so i suppose they'd be alright. make sure you stack up the cash during the year, because once christmas hits its about 2 months of non stop music festivals, bathurst, big name concerts, womadelaide, the fringe etc. then it ticks over to april/may its dead. so if you havent planned ahead, be prepared to be in debt, or miss out on all the fun :) haha suppose thats all i can really think of saying, what sort of stuff did you wanna know about adelaide? did you know we have to big shiny balls that are touching?? it cost $40,000 to remove them and clean/polish them the other year. probably our biggest tourist attraction, lol. apart from our winerys :)
  5. I. Want. That. Sound. System! Very nice indeed.
  6. nice.
  7. loving that engine bay. can't wait to see it completed. should look dope!
  8. yeah thats how i set my timing. worked a treat.
  9. +1 I've only had the 2.. AE82 5 spd manual shitter. hit 300,000k's in my ownership :bash: sold it on and a KE70 slanty 4spd. Got cut off going to work and hit a woman :y: waiting to be picked up by insurance atm. I'm sure I'll be back in a Keto one day, I need something to put my CA18 in lol. :P But for now I've gone back to the Nissans...... *waits for haters*
  10. I'm a real efi guy, unless its an old school v8 of some sort. therefore I'd say the CA18det. also I do love my nissans lol. The ca18det i think would handle the power alot better, and therefore be more reliable, as well as make a good project for the track. but with all that said if its in a daily the 4k would be a better choice as it wont be as much of an issue with the uniforms if you ever get pulled over. unless you do the ca conversion 100% legal of course.. EDIT: also the ca conversion will take alot longer to complete and potentially have more issues like missing wires or things not fitting right. to begin with, but that wouldnt be too hard to overcome. really it just depends what your after. cheap fun daily. or something a bit more serious for the track.
  11. i think it looks porn. plain and simple.
  12. ahh righteo. cheers :D
  13. Out of curiosity, why did you run toe out? does it help to steer out of corners when on full lock or something?
  14. 2 coils all round is the way to go.
  15. You could get a strut brace that mounts to the firewall. they're more rigid, and it should fit.
  16. Why not go forward facing plenum? shorter cooler piping and less clearance issues with the turbo mounting position.
  17. looks good, but you need new wiper rubbers, those be torn  lol
  18. check the wires at the alternator are all contacting properly. maybe give them a clean up. if you have a mate with same engine, maybe try swapping alternators or regulators (if you know how to dismantle the alternator) and see if it persists.

yeah fair enough. my ma61s have 175s stretched onto them so rubbing wasnt an issue :D
  20. you should use diesel or proper oil flush additives to clean it out if its in running condition.

i believe the 15" ones are off of soarers and have a shit fitment (15X6 or 6.5 +20 if i'm not mistaken) the MA61 wheels fit better and are 14x7 +8
  22. We had that conversation at work, being a second year I had no input, but I heard interesting stories such as bullet shells, marbles, and coins. Working on a mates car we did find something interesting though. it was a 31 skyline, and we ripped off the front lh guard, between the pile of crud we spotted a slight sparkle, dug for it. it was a genuine Nissan key that worked in every lock on the car and after a dip under the tap it looked brand new, as of the teeth had never slid in the locks. pretty secure spot for a spare key if you ask me lol.
  23. The detailers at work always gerni floor mats. generally with seats and carpet and door trims they will use is the car shampooer, but once or twice i've seen a seat or two be ripped out and tickled with the gerni :D I also had to do it to a chair from our waiting room as a dog peed on it.

    Kose's Ke70

3x 12mm bolts to get strut out. pop the centre rubber off to reveal a 19mm bolt. arm yourself with a nice long bar and go nuts, if the shocker insert spins, well, have even more fun making it stop. or if you have the equipment use a rattle gun, that works for me, every time ;)
