  1. ^Yes! Can't wait to see it. PS take me for drives broooom brooom.
  2. Will is your car almost ready for Matsuri? There's only 5 days left zomg :o
  3. ^lol you guys crack me up.
  4. Shit that's expensive. I wouldn't pay that. The Wilwood kit for AE86s is only about $1000, that price list you put up there is like $2300.
  5. Is that in Yeerongpilly, across from Red Rooster? Yeah that sounds cool.
  6. Yeah let's meet up on the way, where and when?
  7. So how many people are going? And where/when are we driving from? Also I've never been to a race track before, you just pay at the door right?
  8. Interesting. All the people I've spoken to who have used DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 in place of DOT 3 have not had any problems. I've even used DOT 5.1 in some of my cars (Toyotas) and have not noticed any changes or issues. Maybe only some cars have issues with it, yet it's easier to just buy the correct fluid than it is to replace your brake components. I'm going to look into this as I've just recently put DOT 5.1 in my brown KE70's clutch and brake systems because I was too lazy to order in a high boiling point DOT 3, it would suck to have to change it all. :(
  9. As far as I know DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1 are all compatible/interchangeable (some sort of glycol?) whereas DOT 5 is silicon based and that's the one that will mess with your seals.
  10. Wheel cylinders or caliper pistons are probably siezed, brake fluid absorbs water over time and causes the pistons to rust until they sieze. The fluid that came out is most likely saturated with water. Edit: maybe you just need to readjust the master cylinder pushrod?
  11. That's cool as!
  12. ^Was going to say that. You simply have too much steering angle, I'd ditch the lock spacer.
  13. Pics or ban or GTFO or whatever
  14. Have you got manifolds and stuff for it?
  15. Wills > yours > mine. For now anyway. If we could get someone with a silvertop we would have all the different generations of 4AGE in the same type of car and we could have a race to see what the difference is between them. I'm very interested to see how a bigport goes against a smallport.
  16. Topic change please. Polictics is boring awwwmahhhgawwwd
  17. No Watanabe stamp on the front either?
  18. Are they actual Watanabe wheels or just look-alikes? They look cool anyway.
  19. I love the last photo in post #335! BTW how much was that pedal box if you don't mind me asking?
  20. OrangeLJ is right, 205 is the correct size for a 7". Note: this isn't aimed at anyone, it's just my opinion: Stretching tyres is a silly trend, the only argument for it is that is looks good. Some people say the only way they can fit really wide wheels is to stretch the tyres on, but then you have to wonder: why would anyone try to fit wheels to a car that just don't physically fit? And the answer is that they think wide wheels look good. It's all about looks, I don't see why people try and argue otherwise, just admit it. I can agree that sometimes it does look good, but I hate seeing what Orange LJ was talking about when people say "it creates a stiffer sidewall" etc
  21. When I first got my 4AGE powered AE82 Seca as a donor car for my KE70 I took it for a spin up the road and back, the one word I choose to describe it: slow. I reckon my mum's Barina woud have beaten that thing, but I'm keen to see how the 4AGE goes in the KE70. I don't want it to be fast, I just want it to be fun.

Cheers Leo, yeah I wanted an oil temp gauge and this was the only way I could think of fitting it, it's fiddly but it should work perfectly. I would have just fitted one of the oil temp/oil pressure sandwich plate adapters (see pic) but the oil filter would have fouled on the extractors.

Started with this: Did this (thread isn't tapped in this photo): Now it looks like this: 1/8npt thread tapped into the sandwich/oil take off plate with an oil temp sensor installed in it. Yet to seal it up with thread sealant, but now I have a way to measure oil temps to tell if my oil cooler is working how I want it to work.
