If you wait for melbournes weather, you'll never do anything. I say do it!

For your seatbelts, I assume you've got the same ones in the photos I've posted. The stalks are from an RT104 Corona. I was going to change the seats, with the new seats not having the clips, same as you. My seats didn't fit, so plan changed. It'd be probably easier to chase up a stalk in QLD. They were 10 bucks each. If not, you can have mine for that price, just gotta cover postage. Good luck Boo

WGMG? Briggs and Stratton engines. The end of the crank, which bolts to the blades on the lawnmower, snapped off. Lawn mower was only six years old. I bought it brand new, changed the oil regularly, and kept it in good nick. I remember when I bought it, all red and shiny, Aussie built Rover. Now, just another POS I've got to fix. Honestly, a snapped crank? Just rattle, rattle, and it fell off. Oh and Evan, they are spelt Bailey.

Centre Road today, and it was pretty grim. The two hard tops are still there. The Red Ke30 that seems to fly under the scrap radar Average k sev sedan flat front, 4 speed. Nothing else in RWD corolla. I did crack a fat over a '66 crown. Body was a little rough and someone had badged it. overrated black interior, column shift manual, original M motor. I managed to score one of its hubcaps. 6 bucks well spent me thinks. Just hope for the other 3 :no2:

Melbourne had a warm day. Just enough to show me how hot the rear glass can make things. So I got the windows tinted, today! I went to book it in, and the guy had time, so it's done. When I dropped it off, I rode back on my pushy. Hence the shit handing off the towbar. At least the 'Rolla towbar is good for something.

Along time ago in a galaxy far away, I was a first year apprentice. One of my Friday jobs was to check the oil and water on the bosses ute. Genuine 1975 HJ Sandman, poo brown, 308, 4speed with over 1 million ks. One day I was doing my thing and got distracted, and forgot to put the radiator cap back on. He drove it home, about 30 odd kays, giving it heaps, as always. It started pinging and loosing power, so he just flicked it over to petrol and kept driving. The temp and fuel gauge dash illumination lights didn't work, so he had no idea about the engine temp. Drove it 'till it stopped. Got about 25 ks into the trip. When it stopped, he popped the bonnet and saw the no cap. Called his wife, to pick him up. Next day, went back with water and a cap, started first kick and drove it home. On the Monday he opened me up, and let me know what I'd done. He still kept driving it. 3 months later I changed the oil, and honestly, I'd never smelt anything like it. After 6 months I talked him into restoring it, because even then Sandman utes were rocking horse shit. He made me do a bulk of the shitty jobs. I saw him recently and he's still driving it. Warm 308, Supra 5 speed (my idea), and triple gas tanks under the floor. Until this day, when I close a bonnet, I ALWAYS check the radiator cap!

Budgie - You're The Biggest Thing Since Powdered Milk At over eight minutes, it's truly an overblown 70s song. Just like my fat humpback. But it gets the digit out of my rectum! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=al0ecN3biR4 As for Evans choice, I can honestly say we don't agree. I'd rather slowly push thumb tacks into the roof of my mouth.

Not really an update, just the little things you do. I was getting sick of the crappy illumination from the dash. Surfed around and found these suckers. $4.80 posted from Hong Kong for 10 globes. Some of the ones on Aussie sites were $17.95 for 5 globes. Now I can actually see my dash at night. Other than that, I've just been anally retentive, fixing all the rattles and leaks so it's a pleasant drive, ready for King Lake. As soon as Melbourne comes up with some decent weather, I'll start painting panels to make it look presentable....from a distance.

I've seen the movie, but I'd forgotten I really did LMAO

Understand completely. If you want it NOW, go to your local speed shop, they'll have it, but they will pull your trousers down when you pay. They won't even be courteous enough to use lube. If you've got some time up your sleeve, keep googling 4k Toyota on ebay and your stuff will turn up. Shop around and it will be dirt cheap! I'm freshening up a 3k. Some ask why, I just say cause I can!

I finally cracked. It's taken six week, and I thought I'd be fine, but I just couldn't cut it. The 1977 stereo system was just too much. Dealing with bad reception, having to redail channels in and the unmistakable sound of 3 speaker mono. At first I replaced the rear speakers, then squeezed in 2 four inch speakers where the single speaker was in the dash. It still didn't cut it. So I conceded that I had to upgrade the stereo. I had an old sony head unit laying around, so in it went. In keeping with there is no way I'm chopping up my dash, I mounted it near the passenger kick panel. So I've found a use for the remote. Just can't change cds while on on the move. Doesn't matter. I've got an mp3 radio transmitter and the head unit can play mp3 discs. Oh and now? It's 100 times better. I've had this cranking all day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KSzjQBpU6A

See you there Dave. I'm going to make sure you shout me a doughnut too!

The two speed is going to be removed, and then I'll attempt to sell it. I can't see a lot of demand for the old toyoglide. Shame really. They guy I bought it off claimed it had only done 76,000ks.

Cheap and easy. Also, I like the fact the plate in my car says 3k. I only do standard! 5k and 7k sound good, but I want a square motor, 'cause they love to rev!
-
I spent the arvo playing with some rims No matter how hard we tried, we couldn't fill those the arches. Well, at least legally! I think I'll go the 17's. What do you think? And yes, we discussed the fact the suspension is a little 4 wheel drive!
-
I've bought yet another 3k. It makes 3 in the collection. I've also got 2 sets of pistons and a set of bearings. My plan is to make a really revvy 3k. My question is..this engine appears to have air pump type injector holes, blanked off with bolts. Numbers suggest a small port head. Does any one know if 3k's came out with air injection to the exhaust manifolds?
