http://www.slide.com/profile?puid=CZL76GQY...iYVX-TUnQitW72M surfed around that site and found this. No I can't read the site, I just took a wild guess. KE70 2door?

I had this mag 'cause the car of the year is the same as my Valiant. I was flicking through and came across this. Where do I sign up?
-
my f%^k up. it's a stigma review. If your interested the offer stands

will make a quick cheeky reply, afford? not so sure? Dude Pm me your postal address and i'll send the full DVD of the episode. free of charge i just wanna pick your brain on fitting the late KE55 interior to the beast!!
-
oops i mean the beast is the prob (starter)
-
For everyone, suspected starter probs? remove the starter and get some jumper leads. hook the leads up to a good battery and hook earth (black) to the body of the starter. touch the positive (red) to the small terminal (slide on). Watch the starter reaction. If it throws out consistently, starter should be ok. If you suspect an intermittent prob, do it a few times. If it shows up you've cancelled out other options and the starter is at fault. If not, power going to the beast is the prob.

Simple. accelerator pump in the carb. If the pump is U.S. the carb will eventually catch up. This is 1st year apprentice problem solving. good luck ask more questions if required. U.S. = unserviceable

Jip, did you see the galant ad a couple of months ago on aussie top gear? I've got a copy if you need it. As for the badges, i've got a few Val badges which are exactly the same. Side story....my brother had a 1980 Mitsu ute badged as a chrysler....gold

When the avalon came out they played with the cam timing to get a couple of extra horses. The needed to justify the extra expense. Didn't work. still it makes a good 2nd hand car. Please let us know how the steering goes? The avalon used a steering box & not a rack. This is because it was based on a mid 90's US design. Not a prob, just interested.

You've got me thinking. Wheel bearings don't tend to give pull. guess. tyres are worn giving the pull. not pronounced is usually toe. (tie rod adjustment). rule of thumb. positive camber (inside wear) race car negative camber (outside wear) horse and cart. This is usually obvious. basic toe adjustment usually fixes your probs. HOWEVER.....if you lower your car you usually ask trouble from the next two. Caster? steering heavy? too much camber too light? not enough. these are all the things to consider when determining what is really wrong. Sometimes the tyres are just F$%ked, giving all these probs!!!

The 4wd/ 2wd had negative offset. Aim for any car with 0 offset (usually RWD). If possible get a hub from a car same as yours and do a trip around the local DIY wreckers. I guarantee you'll turn up some surprises. Hub size is usually the biggest issue.

Whats The Worst Engine Ever Made?
Bamboo replied to KETURBO25's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
Ok, need to put this out there. Mitsubishi in the 80's were so crap the company finally admitted they used inferior alloy in their heads and did a recall. Only to find the first series magnas cracked between the welsh plugs. (bad casting). So any Mitsu is not to be trusted. Camira? Soft rings. recall by factory. enough said! My worst. Go to the start of the thread. Starfire (missfire) 4. Theoretically nothing wrong, but a true lemon in design and construction! -
My 2 cents. Echuca is 3 hours away, straight freeway and not much fun. However, nice to have the 'rolla with and blow the cobwebs out. almost justifys it's existence! Not too loud to completely F&*K you on the drive. You can even give a blast around those backroads. If the question is economy only; you already know the answer. Give the ToyMaz a blast

And here i am thinkin' you had shares in BP to take care of that!! LOL. Still thinking about that oil cooler. I suspect pressure V volume is the issue. I'll put my ear to the ground and see what I can dig up.

Do datsuns rust slower than rolla's? i think not. WHY? Stanza 5 speeds are "interesting" Reverse is where first should be and 1st is where 2nd should be. The is No reverse lock out. makes you think when changing those gears.

too bad about the camera. It was my first cruise, and a good laugh. Look forward to the next one. It took me about two minutes to fix my car when I got home. When am I going to learn to carry some tools with me. I should know better.

My F$%k up. I always considered that a T-18. Saw one of those in 2007 in Tokyo at a yard. asking a overrated of course. Also saw a complete later T-18 at the same wreckers i bought the seat from. my education continues.............

The Completely Unofficial Drunk Thread
Bamboo replied to trav_555's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
What? people aren't pissed at 1am when blogging? I'm shocked. The more I read this stuff the more I think of that KE10. I was in a workshop in the late 90's and I was offered a granny KE10 auto for 200 bucks. Didn't think much of it at the time. I was into my val and early model civics. Still got my original civic engine sitting in the shed. Bought at 79k original 2spd semi auto civic for the missus as a first car. ended up passing it on to the sister who still drives it. Ah, 'spose that what pissed forums are for! -
Didn't pay super close attention to the plate. Just noted the it was a sedan with the seatbelt clip mounted to the floor. It had the later dash and plastic on the bars. I was hoping the threads would be on the frame covered with vinyl. They weren't. I probably quoted the wrong model. Round headlights and the grill you hate?
-
Got all motivated today. The one thing that was letting the interior down in phooey was the drivers seat base. It was doing the KE vinyl "split". And the foam had pretty much left the party. Found a KE55 seat with the same colour vinyl but slightly different stitching and nice foam. I ended up undoing the staples and stripping them both down so I could use the steel frame from the KE35 seat 'cause it had the mount for the seat belt clip incorporated into it. Shit job, but turned out ok in the end.

All who look, Better Brakes in Mentone Vic. If they haven't got it, they'll get it. Been dealing with them for 15 years, calliper kits, easy!!

Um, one of the worst things I've learnt in my travels. If the bores are glazed (due to a lack of oil changes) introduce some "Bon Ami" (less course form of ajax) into the air intake. It'll rough those bores up and stop oil consumption. But I'll say this as dodgy as F@#K.

Or a sex maniac!! Nah, your right simple is often the best
