40's work on a 18RG and they rev to 7,000 max ? so should be right on a 7A.

Its probably a good thing having a 7A bottom end fed by carbs that run out of puff at 7K. I'll build you a megaspark if you're keen to get some advance going one day too.

Trev, you could also look at Jaycars latest programmable HEI kit here. The HEI system is programmable via a Hand Controller kit.

 

It can be used with the Ignition Coil driver for a standalone ignition system, also you can add a knock sensor module to it.

That jaycar kit looks alright, hey, can it handle a reluctance input I wonder. Stupid megaspark can't, but I like the 3D tuning map = manifold pressure x rpm x advance for the tune or TPS x rpm x advance.

Took the wheels off today as they are going back to des and took the roof rack off, I love the look of it already :)

I got my spare spirit wing out of the shed and told Jon to hold it up, Bogan spec but it would look good moulded on.

It is sitting off to the right alot but i wouldnt use the spoiler for a lip anyway.

 

T50 gearbox arrived today:

 

 

All that is really needed now to get it going is the carbies to arrive and get some extractors, Then i just need a tailshaft and some man hours.

Will see, There are a few bits on the car that need to be gone over with the gun after they have been tidied up so i will see how much of a pain in the ass it will be.
