Pretty much finished. Turned out ok, I think? Doesn't give too much away when the plates are on. Only need to do the short hose from the block to the thermostat. Thermostat fully opens at 86 degre

I have had to butcher up the dash in order to fit back in around the cage, the Carlos bars have made it really  hard to get it back in. It has to wedge between that and the A pillar bar for to fi

"It's ALIVE"...!!!!!!

Started it today, after nearly a year of working on this thing it finally runs, it doesn't drive but at least it's getting close.

After getting the oil pressure up, it turned over first go.

Sounds pretty good, even though there's no exhaust, only the dump and the secondary.

The tail shaft is getting done next week, then off to the exhaust place.

This has to be the most satisfying update thus far. :)

Just looked through the thread, looks great and gave me some ideas about how to mount my cooler a little further back into the car to avoid hacking up my grill.

Had it towed to the exhaust place this morning.

3" exhaust straight off the dump pipe, mandrel bends, two mufflers, one in the middle and one in the ass end, with a hidden 3" droopy tip.

Also the tail shaft is in, so i can finally drive it, kind of.

Still have to fit the blow off valve (plumb back) and the electronic boost control vacuum hoses, and a couple of other bits and pieces.

WooHooo getting there.

Might put a vid up of it running if i can figure out how to do it..!!

Just drove the car for the first time, all i can say is "HOLLY SHIT". :o

I actually shouldn't be driving it, there's no boost control on it, i haven't connected the wastegate actuator yet.

But I couldn't resist, i kept an eye on the boost gauge and didn't let it boost too much..!!!

It's sure is a handful, damn thing is bloody quick.

Good to hear its driving and your enjoying it.

What did the rad set you back?

good to hear mate. maybe next time i'm in canberra could come and have a look at the rolla, should gimme inspiration to finish mine off lol

I'm pretty sure the car is in Perth and last time I checked on Google Earth Canberra is a Bloody long way from Perth. (just teasing ya mate)

But hey, I too would like to see this thing in the metal.

Builds like these do inspire others when it all seems like too much (I'm hoping I will be at this stage in about 6 to 8 months time.

Keep up the great work

Gday every one and merry christmas,

Well it's been 2 months on the road and all good so far, i can't beleive the standard diff has held in as long as it has.

I suppose it doesnt really get driven much.

Although there has been no hard launches or any stupidity from me ( well not too much) it hasnt even started to whine yet.

Boost controler is hooked up and i will send it in for a tune soon, i just need to finish the cold air intake an a bit more pipe work.

I have done more work on the interior as well.

Hanging to take this thing down the strip and to do a few track days.

Will post up some more pics as soon as i download them from the camera.

+1 on Pics.

can't wait to see pics mate :)
