Just found a new Project,

 

Just when i was about to re-power my Ke17 SL, I found an unbelieveably rust free Ke15 sprinter.

 

So plan have now changed for the ke17, now will be selling it ealry next year - selling as is, with the fully worked 5K.

 

 

 

In Regards to my ke15 this one will be powerd by a 4age T50 hylux diff. combination.

 

Pannel and prime work booked in 6 weeks time.

WOW overrated. Now that is a find. DO you have all the other parts but teil lights etc? Could be hard to source if it isnt complete.

 

But good point to start. Will need a bit of cutting a massage on the gear box tunnel to fit a T50 I belive.

 

Will be a fast puppie.

 

Going to make it a sleeper?

yes it will be a sleeper, i picked it up a month ago ( near dandy ).. mainly as spare parts, but when i saw it had nearly no rust i knew this would make a better project. the car had a small interior fire, but the leather seats out of my ke17 will go in. so i will be looking for some bits. p.s. has any one seen a 4agze in a 1x model ?????????

I have seen a 4agte 9so could of been a GZE) and it fit. Photos are floating around on here of it. A guy in SE QLD built it I belive.

sorry but no. looking for a few bits for it, as it is the main focus and project. hope to make it a christmas pressy???????? oh yeh $400 was da num car complete bar seats & roof lining

Homers ke15 UPDATE

 

Work is Progressing to the point where she's booked in for the diff to be installed on the 18th of this month.

 

I ended up going for the 2 wheel drive hilux LSD.

 

Also have purchased Black top 20V and T50 Gear Box As you will see in pictures below.

 

Have meeting this week with motor sport company for the install of motor and box.

 

Pannel beater booked in 3 weeks time.

factory LSD's are crap in the hilux's, most people change to an aftermarket one when doing a conversion. But for the power the 20V produces you shouldnt have any problems with it id say provided its in good condition when it goes in. What ratio you going with?

Hi guys, latest update on the 15.

 

We have decided to go with a 4agze instead of the 20 valve.

 

Things are moving a bit slow but Motor is in.

 

Modify breaks this week and off to paint in 3 weeks time.

 

Found the dash-board-doctor.

He quoted me $250 over the phone (site un-seen) Job completed for $220 - This was for full restoration. See images below. Highly Recommended!
