homers_ke17 Posted July 26, 2009 Report Share Posted July 26, 2009 Just found a new Project, Just when i was about to re-power my Ke17 SL, I found an unbelieveably rust free Ke15 sprinter. So plan have now changed for the ke17, now will be selling it ealry next year - selling as is, with the fully worked 5K. In Regards to my ke15 this one will be powerd by a 4age T50 hylux diff. combination. Pannel and prime work booked in 6 weeks time. Get back to you after first stage! Could be hard to source if it isnt complete. But good point to start. Will need a bit of cutting a massage on the gear box tunnel to fit a T50 I belive. Will be a fast puppie. Also ill PM about the sale for the KE17 interested :y: Cheers Cameron yes it will be a sleeper, i picked it up a month ago ( near dandy ).. mainly as spare parts, but when i saw it had nearly no rust i knew this would make a better project. the car had a small interior fire, but the leather seats out of my ke17 will go in. so i will be looking for some bits. p.s. has any one seen a 4agze in a 1x model ????????? I ended up going for the 2 wheel drive hilux LSD. Also have purchased Black top 20V and T50 Gear Box As you will see in pictures below. Have meeting this week with motor sport company for the install of motor and box. Pannel beater booked in 3 weeks time. Thats all for now. But for the power the 20V produces you shouldnt have any problems with it id say provided its in good condition when it goes in. What ratio you going with? Things are moving a bit slow but Motor is in. Modify breaks this week and off to paint in 3 weeks time. Found the dash-board-doctor. 71 Sydney Rd. Coburg ph. 9383 6861 - Ask for Allan. He quoted me $250 over the phone (site un-seen) Job completed for $220 - This was for full restoration. See images below. Highly Recommended! *Engine mock up complete. see pic below.
