dingo ke55 5k Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 i found this out totally by accident i picked up some ford fairlane seats from a wreakers if you swap the corolla seat runners on to the falcon seats they bolt straight in no drilling required all falcon/ fairlane seats from xa 1971 to xf 1987 share the same base defintaly a good comfort upgrade over corolla seats :( Quote
NickZ Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 (edited) i would have thought they would be too wide for a corolla? My 2002 corolla seats are almost too wide in my ke30 the inside of the seat sit on the center console. I would have thought a falcon seat would be wider. Edited July 16, 2005 by NickZ Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 The corolla seat runners bolt to Falcon seats without modification? Quote
rjenman Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 sounds comfy. i like those falcon seats that come trimmed in wool from factory. i wonder if they are from that era. definately worth looking into Quote
Redwarf Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 In Queensland this will require a mod plate and NEW inertia reel seat belts to comply to LK1 standards. Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 i have ta22 celica seats in my ke30. they bolt straight up to corolla rails with 1 hole drilled. theey are way better because u sit much much lower in the car. i am over 6 ft and have alot of clearance from the roof. Quote
demuire Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 Corona seats are the same, they almost bolt onto Corolla rails, just need to drill one new hole in the rail and it all bolts in... Quote
Xany Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Â you do the same to get KE70 seats to bolt into a KE55 Quote
dingo ke55 5k Posted July 19, 2005 Author Report Posted July 19, 2005 yes you will need to drill 1 hole to fit ke70 seats i think into a ke55. As for the falcon seats theres no drilling required on a ke55 anyway. I'm 6ft 3inches and i have no problems getting in and out of the car, Just don't drop any money down between the door and the seat as theres not much room left to grab it :D just swap the corolla runners onto the falcon seat and they bolt straight in. :) Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 That still didn't answer my question...are you saying you can unbolt corolla seats off their rails...and bolt falcon seat directly to the corolla rails without modifying ANYTHING Quote
smitty1 Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 One of my mates who has a Falcon bolted a set of Scheel seats straight onto the stock rails in his car. If that works , then I guess that if I grabbed those seats they should bolt straight into my KE20. It sure opens up the choice of seats if they aren't too wide for the car. Â Cheers, Ian Quote
David[RL] Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 ae86 - ke70 seats fits eachother if you try really hard.. hehe Quote
Clown Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 r33 gts-t, wrx, aw11 or some type of aftermarket seat will make its way into the rolla. Quote
Super Jamie Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 stewart had S13 buckets in his ke15, no idea what he did to fit them, but the guy can weld so it might have been not-bolt-in Quote
