While I was busy with the headlight frames Matt was busy fitting the front brakes and new brake lines. He also started to test fit the new radiator now that we have the new hoses.

After I finished the headlight frames I started getting stuck into the front dash/body harness. Someone crazy mofo had cut off the wiring connectors for the dash cluster which pissed me off a tad, Had to sit there and solder each individual wire back on. (Not fun when there are about 5 sets of wires the same colour). Managed to get the whole harness ready to go back in next weekend..

While I was busily occupied Matt and dad were assembling and mounting the front bar and fitting the locks / regulators / glass etc. to the rear doors.

Hell Yeah! looking good.

 

Quick question(to lazy to read through the whole thread again) where did u get the twin light set up(ie grill surrounds) and the chrome bumpers?

Lights were imported from New Zealand by another forum member specifically for Matt to put on this car..

 

Bar mounts were sourced from New Zealand too..

 

Matt bought the new chrome bumpers from England..

We had a set of the earlier ones in a silver but they just didn't look the part, The newer style ones come up looking quite nice after a bit of a buff. I thought that a bit of black would help offset all the chrome that was going on the car too..

That is some bloody good work guys, can't wait to until the finish of it.

this car just gets better with every photo :) Loved the pic of the before and after shots of the light brackets......i got a set over from NZ recently too and they looked similar, but you've inspired me to give em a spray :D
