  1. i made it work. one side is easy as it just bolts up, you may have to drill new holes. the other, with the tilt mechanism, i just drilled out the holding thingos for the rail (you'll see what i mean), separating the rail itself from the seat and just went about drilling new holes. works a treat if the seats not huuuuge in height
  2. if you can find the parts for a 4ac conversion cheap enough, then can't recommend it enough. They are slow, but in comparison to the 4k they're great. 4ac and locker in the wet is heaps of fun too! hah
  3. I'm running a pajero mc as well, great lil upgrade! how'd you find the difference?
  4. on here would be ideal, chances are you'll get yourself a better understanding on what your actually getting. (history etc) otherwise wreckers or importers, personally I would rebuild any motor from a wrecker, you just can't be sure what your getting.
  5. look this is a similar issue with 4age ke70's. essentially, yes, it is illegal, (by law p plate laws restrict any engine modifications, or by any means any engine conversions.) but, and many people can be witness to this, if you keep it neat, tidy and relatively stock looking, aided by a quiet, exhaust not a stupid cannon or whatever, and a clean car, not mega poking wheels or eye catching paint jokes, theres actually a fair probably that no one would look at you any differently. I guess one thing on your side would be, the 5k doesn't look out of place within the engine bay. They look pretty similar, era specific. additionally, if you can find someone who's either oblivious to these motors (and wont know any different) or someone willing to overlook the conversion, you can have the engine numbers changed on the rego papers which will only help your defense. Some people might flame me for telling you this, and yes, its a risk, but will the right attitude theres a good chance you could do this and be untroubled by the authorities.
  6. not normally a fan of these corollas, but this looks fantastic! real clean and subtle!
  7. ^^ very true... but if you decide to run the t18 stuff, which is a decent upgrade over the 25 stuff (i ran the setup in my ke20 for a short time), then you can just swap the diff axles with ke30 (from memory??) ones to continue the 4x114.3 pcd. That also gives you a wider range of japanese wheels to put on the car too!
  8. omfgggggg, thats crazy dude! great stuff! this will haulllll ass
  9. looks like a solid base dude! I'm from the gong too, may have seen me round in a silver ae71 with mismatched rims! hit us up if you need an advice Paul.
  10. don't buy from kay parts, he promises parts, and if they show, they take months... I'm still waiting on lights i paid for 1st of February
  11. my comment was in reference in a set of SSR's wheels.... you wont find photos like those rota ones with ssr wheels. that was my point.
  12. so it does one leggers? i think its just an open diff then.. yeah coming along nice, are you plans for track/drift or just a cool tough streeter? did you used own kproln or whatever it was called?
  13. found a front end? this is coming along great... did this have blacked out tailights when you got it? if this is that car, the first time i saw it on ebay it had a supposed t series with trd center.. guess it didnt?
  14. ʞ©$ɟed possibly.. shattered rim face from barrel, i doubt seriously.
  15. re001's! worth every single cent..
  16. i get the attraction of rotas... but your placing your safety in the hands of cheap, imitation rims... the way i see it, i can hit a curb with my ssr's, maybe gash them but otherwise they'll be rock solid.. rotas on the other hand, hit and curb and throw them away.. not saying everyone goes and drives their cars into curbs. If you're going to be trusting your life to your car, do you REALLY want to cheap out on parts? not trying to start a heated discussion, but i am keen to hear your opinions.. otherwise, that purple car is the shit! love the attention to detail.. did it have a whole lot of rust to begin with?
  17. wow! 200 bucks, so awesome price... rotas :/
  18. yeah, but speaking from experience, you'd be wasting your time with keto stuff... best off getting ae86 setup, even if you run just struts (not coilovers) with decent shocks and springs, you'll be miles ahead... I'm running ae86 jdm brakes, hubs etc, BC gold coilovers, 40mm roll center adjusters and longer control arms.. great setup, plus full customizability also, whilst ae86 items are a straight swap, not sure if 86 camber tops would work with ke70 struts..
  19. camber tops are fine, no work required.
  20. he paid 4200 only a couple of weeks ago... id say that was a bit rich, somewhere around the 3 grand mark id be happy to pay...
  21. hey dude, jesus it came up okay didnt it! Paint looks great! great work on getting to the rust quickly aswell... with the overheating issue, i have had a similar issue in the past, and found running without a thermostat was a good way to somewhat fix it... It'll be rough on start up, but once its warm, it'll drive all the same.. An old mechanic once told me that the cars came with a shroud around the radiator, and without them, they were subject to some overheating issues.. what are your future plans for it?
