  1. yes I have done simular, although to a TA22 instead: http://s-86.com/s-parts-ta22rp.html whatever you do don't shorten the crossmember! well ok if you take the rack apart and shorten it in a lathe you can but otherwise no
  2. making your own tramp rods isn't hard, just a little time consuming. Only a pannelvan diff will bolt in and that isn't an upgrade. Other a diff conversion is the go, easy as on what you have
  3. it's a common converson, let me guess your trying to use the original ECU? hey post a pic of your manifold?
  4. what about a carbon build up? I am no mechanic but I think it might be the possible issue
  5. it's good to see some dedicated race cars like this. Keep up the good work
  6. yes I do, send me a PM
  7. besides it would be stupid to do an engine upgrade before doing the suspension and brakes first
  8. whats your level of skill? what equipment do you have? your location?
  9. plans are good, any more specifics of those?
  10. twin charged? where?
  11. and here too.. I have never in Australia seen lots of rain here combined with constantly hot weather, this is meant to be tropical weather not victorian.
  12. well said beerhead. People seem to swap and change parts that mess with the geometry with little regard to what the effect could be.
  13. go to another place because that's obscene. How many 180 degree bends did you get quoted on?
  14. that doesn't sound right, you where quoted for prebent mandrel pipes right? was it stainless or something
  15. we seem to be getting one of these threads every month
  16. 4age, reset rear springs + anti tramp rods, front spring upgrade and different wheels. Whats your location?
  17. wow that's odd. I used to have the same colour wagon with even a dent in the same spot in the front. Ah I miss that car. What are your plans?
  18. make sure you put a nice brace or two between the bottom of the manifold to the block ok? So do you have bellmouths inside?
  19. your going to have to list your location for a full answer to that, however it will be a big no regardless
  20. no longer available? second hand I think there are few kicking about there
  21. hey try putting a wanted add on club4ag they seem to have them available much more than us.
  22. a genuine rwd head peice? good luck as they are very hard and usually expensive to get. I guess you won't need a bypass pipe then
  23. good news, I managed to buy some 6060 solid bar and a pile of O-rings. I am purposefuly going for a smaller middle hole and a thicker O-ring to allow for the fact that the housing is likely to be more worn out. I will send you a PM.
  24. I am pretty sure it's the oppersite where too much backpressure causes a heat build up on the side of the head heating up the valves more, think about it. Also I hate to say it but most people in exhaust shops have no idea at all. As them what the ideal length of extractors for your engine is without telling them when your exhaust valves close and see what they say.
  25. I am in Endeavour Hills which is in the S.E suberbs of Vic Don't send me any money till I find out if the aluminium place is open tomorrow.
