the 5 speed borg warner corona box will bolt straight up to the S engines, you can use flywheel and clutch as well without mods. This is what I plan on doing to my ke70, I want to run a 5sfe, now that's a conversion that makes sense for what I want
nothing ae86 will work unless you use the rubber mounts and brackets off the block made ot fit by chopping the original crossmemeber mounts off and making something new. This probably would be the best way to go.
I also wish I could of done such a thing, but it's been a long time since I was in school. Oh well I guess it's not so bad as I am making slow but somewhat steady progress on my next trike
wow hectic, looks really interesting, incomplete I assume? unless I am missing the sight of a chain from the front. I see you used a friction drive for the motor, neat and simple.
no I don't make anything for Nissans. I have been asked to make a conversion kit for these and even promised a certain amount of sales to make it happen but i turned it down. There are two places that do make them, I just don't remember the names. Go to nissansilvia.com and type in sr20ve, its the same thing. Doesn't look that hard to do
wow well done, I don't know if was yourself or not but I was going to talk to someone about how to make a custom engine to use less fuel. It's a 4 stroke 22cc right?
that's a crap job done right there. See the big box section off the back? thats to allow room for the oil control solenoids. Remote mounting systems are available instead of doing this lousy attempt at a fix.
ah those offical figures are always a bit unrealistic for people like us. Sounds like you could use a 7afe, they are tuned for power and torque very low revs and have no cam overlap, great for economy. Can someone who has owned a 7afe powered car verify this?
