  1. good for the final product, either way you better be good at fabrication. You would need to chop out large sections of the srs body and swap them over to your corolla, then swap the whole driveline.
  2. Matt thanks for sharing your info about Anthony, I prefer people be open about buisness dealings so everyone gets to make informed choices.
  3. I will have to have a look on my 7afe engine to see if it does have a sepearate sensor like the 4age engines. The fan will also stay on if the engine is in fault mode...
  4. pic? how much bashing and how far forward did you end up putting the engine?
  5. so you ran an sr20 in a ke35 without tunnel mods?
  6. well to fit an sr20 your going to have to make room for its big mother of a bellhousing, which is for it's stupidly oversized clutch/flywheel. This means serious chopping for you. However a CA18 uses a much smaller bellhousing and hence is easier to fit. It's meant to be lighter too
  7. I say for ease ca18det
  8. well that and the fast that 1.6L + boost for only 110kw it must be a pretty sad engine unless its hugely choked by emisions or something
  9. thats still a hard conversion, well to do right anyway, I have seen some bodge jobs
  10. and why "keep it in the family"? a 3s to rwd is a time consuming and hard conversion compared to other options
  11. wow they look nice, cheap too
  12. I have heard of brass plugs hmm what about some aluminium inserts with an O ring grouve? that should hold it in
  13. sorry I can't answer that one it would depend on too many factors
  14. why welded? legalities?
  15. welcome to the forums, please have a look in the FAQ section and also do a search for "ke70 conversion" for drivetrain wagon=sedan to make things simple get a 4age
  16. but unless there is some major firewall mods the weight will be more forward of the front wheels, you can't easily make up for that
  17. well this is the strangest thread in a while, so the purpose is for more grip?
  18. 1G engines are getting old now and parts have always been hard to get
  19. rb20 with 6 x 20V throttles anyone?
  20. only the manifold needs reversing, have a search on the forums and check the faq section on this subject
  21. so where is your economy at now? any idea on L/100?
  22. expensive pedal box too
  23. also being leaf spring doesnt make it any easier, you still have to chop the mounts and reweld them, just fit a T series in there instead of the bulk of the Hilux
  24. there are many many tech threads on it if you do a search, also check the FAQ section. Ah also have a look an ae86dc, but search only I have some articles on my site that might help you later: http://s-86.com/articles.html
  25. yes it will be a daily so the stock diff will be fine, if I have to I will put anti-tramp bars on it. Seeing wagon parts are getting increasingly hard to find I wouldnt rule out a quick diff conversion seeing how quickly I could do one.
