  1. should work for KE30 to 70, just send me a message
  2. a 0.8mm TRD head gasket might help things a bit
  3. ok I will let you know if I manage to get somewhere. I will need someone to do the final checks in a car for me when the time comes so that first set will be quite discounted.
  4. I wont know what I can sell them for till I have made a set. To give you some idea though the 4age to KE mounts will be around 200 for the pair and $90 for the universal trans mount. I havent even measured up the mounting points on the block yet. Endeavour Hills is 40km S.E of melbourne. and yes it hasn't been easy to try and measure, design, make dummy's, test fit, make jigs, make final versions and then finally recheck them. All inbetween doing out of state work. It's a slow process and thats why it has taken me so long for just these 4age mounts. The good news is though that I am almost done with them so I can move on. So whats your location?
  5. thanks Ken, yes after I do my 4age to ke mounts I plan on doing the CA/SR to KE mounts next. All in due time
  6. who brand is the gasket? I like the look of the rear adjustable spring perches and I have been thinking about getting some myself. I will have a look at that website thanks. So where is Ottoway?
  7. sounds like a good plan. Where did you source those rear spring height adjusters from? are they Megan brand as well? So a 0.7mm gasket or a 0.8mm? because I would like a 0.7 myself. Also a tip get rid of that useless piece of junk the rear tower "brace", it braces nothing. Edit: depending on the lift you probably won't need those valve springs
  8. wow, ok someone has a whole lot more money than me...
  9. I have read in more than one place now that factory blow off valves are to reduce noise when the throttle shuts, which if true is really ironic
  10. be careful, apparently modding the pulley can cause crank failures depending on how its done. http://www.dinancars.com/bmw/technial-info...harmonic-damper
  11. well I managed to work on my car two days in a row which sadly hasn't happened in a long time, anyway moving right along. I was previously told this conversion wasn't possible and I guess by normal means it isn't. I adapted this Recaro to fit into my car: here is what it took to get the position low enough: Seat rails unbolted showing a high lump. The seat during a test fit was too high at the front and hence sloped upwards. chopped and rewelded to be a more flush fit. One side down compared to the far side which at the unaltered angle. After the rails where lowered the pull cable that linked them had to bend around one of these seat support stays. So I drilled out the spotwelds and... Rewelded the brace back in so it sat on top of the frame instead of under it, this gave me just enough extra room. All that was just for the preparation and after that I made up the new mounts that where welded to the seat rails. So in the end it looked like the picture below. I still need to see if I can fit atleast part of the original cover back on the side of the seat but it's not much of a priority. Now the passenger side....
  12. as with what Luc commented running the crank angle sensor off the crank is problematic because the ecu can't know which piston is on the compression stroke and which is on the exhaust stroke. So you have to run the fuel in batch fire. This is why there is a 15% power loss. I have a wolf generic toothed gear and sensor if anyone wants to go down this road though.
  13. get an extra leaf added and the rest reset, after that some anti tramp rods and your set
  14. welcome to the forum. Before people get cranky can I suggest a read of the FAQ section and also do a heap of searches?
  15. wagons are awesome
  16. welcome to rollaclub a lot of car for $250, your right it does seem to be harder to buy ke70's despite how many are on the roads. So whats your location?
  17. what about the acl race series, any reports?
  18. thanks but my B/day is in September, I lied!
  19. hey thanks for the link philbey, that really explains it well. Theoretically though the area affect should come into it and it should be fairly safe. altezzaclub: Hey!! yeah maybe but not on my car, hahaha gee good thing I didn't fit those Sodium bolts eh
  20. ok thanks back to plan A, using the washing machine steel, apparently they are the best for this sort of thing.
  21. well my whole exhaust was made with stainless tube with mild steel wire. Just about every other exhaust in the country is the same. Why would 2m be too thick? extra weight or just the buring issue you mention? I think I am pretty good at welding thin sheet so if thats it I will still give it a go. Yes lots of bubbles, spots and a few holes but not whole pieces missing, have mercy our rust just doesn't compare! hahahaha
  22. It looks like I need to do some serious rust repairs to my wagon and I was thinking I have a large pile of 2mm thick stainless steel sheet. I would like to know can I get away with welding this in to replace any rusted panels I take out? I would rough it up with a flapper wheel so everything can stick to it.
  23. if you still interested in coilpacks then SR20 coils definately fit nice. But you probably heard that info initially from me anyway.
  24. was yours missing the pedal box or something?
  25. a black early corolla, how unusual. I really like it though and think it suits it well. It needs a good lowering to finish it off.
