  1. you will want to upgrade your diff as well, I am unsure what is solid and narrow enough?
  2. the whole engine/clutch/gearbox bolts right in
  3. they have to be 2V beacuse the burning of nitromethane is so intense that the smaller gaps between the valves of a 4V head get literally burned away, crazy stuff indeed. I am sure there are also multiple rules that specify certain engines that are allowed
  4. to lower compression and hance be able to run more boost. Although it works it's a flawed approach
  5. standard for all 4age is 1.2mm compressed.
  6. there was a worklog on ae86dc or the old ae86dc about a guy putting one into an ae86. Its something along the lines of using a 4g63 type head with a starion bottom end and gearbox. I hear there is a way of using a scorpion gearbox or something direct to the block but I can't verify it
  7. do a search on this forum and ae86dc for your answer. The short answer is yes but not worth it. You need as a rough guide to do it properly: crank rods head piston cam belt drive gear crank pulley flywheel and so on, so basicly its cheaper to just buy a 4age
  8. no sorry I don't have one, infact I didnt even know you could get them new. Just get yourself any 4ac starter from the wrecker making sure that the solenoid doesnt stick out too far
  9. yeah they are, and the transmission also has the same mounts. I am sure you would have to do some trans tunnel chopping but this can be done legally if you go about it the right way.
  10. I tottaly agree with the above comment, also I may be making ca18/sr20 to K model engine mounts in due time
  11. sorry no idea, if your a member of toymods there is a club racer that they are putting the same engine into an old celica. You can ask them about it.
  12. better check the club rules though so your not put into a class that makes you at the back of the pack every time. If that means just a normal 4age ocnversion then so be it
  13. if your going to do a conversion like that go for a "holden" 3.8L V6, they fit without too much dramas. Getting a manual is a bit hard though
  14. I did think about taking more material off but it adds cost to something that would already be not cheap or easy to make. I am still considering it. As for the seals the holes bored in the plate are just enough for the original coil tops and seals to fit through to be perfectly on the cam cover itself just like stock
  15. have thought about it, i could use common sr20 coils too
  16. I think theres not enough modded corolla wagons in the world. Great job on the rust repairs and best of luck with it
  17. I would like to see how this 4KZ engine is set up
  18. brunswick is a decent drive but still possible. I found out today that the crossmember mounts of the ke10 and 20 are different and so I would need to made a new set up. An email would be good
  19. ok only 3 months late after I never received an original notification of a reply, I have thought about a profile cut but it does have some milled out shapes in it. That said it might still work out cheaper to do a combination of both. I do have someone who can do the CNC work for me for a modest fee.
  20. only the last pic works for me Marko, hey whats your location?
  21. are those models uncommon?
  22. the blocks should all be the same, so straight swap. Good to hear about your mechanic, you have to excuse me I am so used to mechanics that have no idea at all. Did you happen to check the hardness of the head? also have you thought about chucking a 7a block in there?
  23. even the big 230mm ZE flywheel uses the same ring-gear, it has an off shaped step for the flywheel mounts to be much further out than the ring gear, this is why they don't fit into a T50 RWD bellhousing. A 4ac one will work providing it clears your exhaust. I am using a gear reduction model out of an ae92
  24. all 4 and 7A's have the same ring-gear
  25. Hey what suberb are you in? I might be able to do most of job for you. Also it looks like I am about to start producing 4age compatable engine and trans mounts for all RWD non auto corollas. If your interested then just let us know.
