  2. sounds like your already on top of it. Don't forget the metal line for the clutch across the firewall too. I can't help you with the info on the tailshaft though. I should be able to help you with some of the conversion parts though.
  3. good info but if the head hasnt snapped off it because of over tension it will probably mean that its really jammed in there. This means that torx trick very likely wont do.
  4. if your preparared to drive to endeavour hills then i can help
  5. I havent done the conversion but I will be doing a test fit in the process of making mounts. I plan on mass producing engine and trans mounts for an ae86 and corollas. When i do the test fit I can show pics of the engine installed with all the clearences. Contact me if you want to know more.
  6. the most vauge thread I have even seen on this forum
  7. it all depends on how you snapped it, was it from overtension? is the block out of the car?
  8. yeah I figured that, I was under the impression though the earlier corollas have a smaller tunnel again.
  9. yeah ok thanks for the info, I was going to use my ke70 as a basis for the mounts and i am guessing that it has more room under it. So this bluebird box does it have the same mount?
  10. I have been thinking wouldnt the trans tunnel need to be chopped to fit a CA type gearbox into an early corolla?

    My Ke70

I have to agree with the above, I am not into huge wheels and many guys arn't but that doesn't mean people should be outright be insulting and making fun of the guy who does like them.
  12. doesnt look like an SR20 to me! hehehhe so a change of plans or is this a temporary step? let us know if you need any conversion parts
  13. hmm, I will have a look at my friends celica next time I visit him
  14. before going for that engine I would probably go for a qr25de with stronger rods and aftermarket pistons. But I am not into low reving engines, I like the idea of having the sr20 crank in it to have a 2.1L thats much lighter and better flowing than an SR20. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_QR_engine
  15. must have a long stroke or something
  16. oh interesting, I will read more into that
  17. yeah rwd ka24det, I am sure we all would be interested in that one! I may make sr/ca mounts in the future if your interested
  18. whats your location? when do you plan on starting? I do plan on making some ca/sr to Ke mounts in due time if everything works out if your interested.
  19. I would of thought there would be plent of 18r powered celicas kicking around? or is that the model that has the middle sump?
  20. the standard diffs for them are the cone type though and from the reports I get don't lock hard from even the factory. Any idea on wha it costs to get an axle shortened?
  21. welcome to rollaclub not an answer to your question but is there an option to change the sump from a different model? just curious what are you thinking of doing? I might be able to make you something if your in Vic
  22. getting an auto flex plate shouldnt be too much an issue, there are a few ae71 autos that appear at the self serve wreckers, well here anyway
  23. the 4age engines run 8 bolt flywheels, it just means you use the flywheel and clutch off the 4age engine in your install. Here is a reference off my site: http://s-86.com/s-flywheels.html and this for a 20v engine but many things would still be relevant to you http://s-86.com/s-20vrwd.html don't forget to put that spigot bearing in! Now why would you change the struts to run 15" wheels?
  24. your welcome Andy, so its running now?
  25. oh sorry I misread the original question, what you can use out of the ke70 is the following: engine clutch gearbox, gearbox mount, loom, ecu and possibly the metal line on the firewall for the clutch. As above you will need custom mounts for the engine which I can possibly help you with.
