  1. Endeavour Hills, 50 minutes if you use citilink. But if you want to use it in my driveway I can roll out an extension lead and loan you a heat gun, then you can take all day and do whatever you want for $50
  2. I have one I can rent out but St Albans is a long way from the S.E Suberbs where I am, but if you want to have a drive... BTW Melbourne kinda means the city center
  3. oh yes you can trust me on that one seeing I pulled the K engine out myself and I modify these crossmembers on a regular basis. Keep in mind the difference was only about 3mm per side, your rubbers would of taken that up easily
  4. a heat gun on the hoses might also help
  5. KE30 to 55 mounts might be the same but from what I saw the KE70 ones are slightly further apart, I don't know why.
  6. after that clearence issue I lost interest. I also wonder about the demand, I say wait for the pics of this sump install and then make your choice from there. A 7A into a KE35 would be a great combo. The way things are going I will need to mass produce 7A RWD cooling kits instead of just two!
  7. I am putting dibs on the fact that the sump will sit above the crossmember line
  8. yeah no worries, also you can use any 4age flywheel so long as you use the matching clutch
  9. thats true and even better I am prepared to mail someone ae71 mounts in exchange for their ke70 mounts
  10. doesnt have to...
  11. so you have a 20V in the car your selling and have a 16V in something else? why not do a straight swap?
  12. buy a smashed 4age powered ae82 off ebay or the auctions and swap everything
  13. my personal uneducated opinion: my website article rear the very last section CA-ROLLA: its the best by a long way but not the cheapest.
  14. this can not be serious
  15. read this http://www.86garage.com/forums/viewtopic.p...673ce9f7a30773e you don't need the fifth coil though its cheap and effective but so long as you know your making a big compromise
  16. this thread needs more 20V
  17. well you need to swap the rubber part of the fuel lines, fuel tank inc pump, engine obviously, engine wiring harness inc ecu loom, ecu and some minor stuff. It might take a bit of time to swap but not too far out of reach
  18. how much it is depends on the seat your installing, hey are you in victoria?
  19. wow thats a short stroke. ANyway yes if there was a T engine to be put in I would suggest a 2/3T hybrid. However the guys (and one chick) on toymods seem to agree that there is a small gain going from a hybrid engine to a 20V but it's so much smoother and nicer to drive
  20. well its never been common and so I guessing they are hard to find. I have never seen on in person ever, although that probably doesnt mean much. This means they are expensive in sourcing one and in parts assuming you get get them. Also unless you get a reco I see now way a turbo engine from that many years ago would be running without a major rebuild.
  21. if you like I can check if a KE70 crossmember is compatiable with T engine mounts, I strongly suggest avoiding a 3T engine though
  22. well unfortunately your not wrong on one but every single one of your points. For a start to avoid confusion a TE72 is one of the models of T18, its like saying a ke70 is a Corolla T engine and A engine mounts are very different, even if they wen't the engine position is about 60mm wrong in the forward/aft position. They are also closer together and on a different angle to top it all off. How do I know? well lets just say I have an elaborate jig on hand for a certain conversion. Ke70 crossmembers on the other hand.. well I need to check that one. There is no "non-rack K-sev", it simply doesn't exist, all KE70s and AE71s have steering racks, all models of T18s including TE72 have steering boxes, so that doesn't work and that's assuming it would even bolt in. so where are these mod basics from?
  23. how would an ae71 help mount a T engine? and how would a t18 crossmember fit in seeing it has no steering rack?
  24. very neat, welcome to the forum
  25. well whatever you would do you wouldn't rebuild your 4K, second hand ones are dirt cheap. How about you get another cheap replacement and put the money saved into fuel for your rx7
