Yes I'm in tassie. mine will rev clean to about 6500 but i have taken it to 7000 but wouldnt do i again as after about 6000 mark it doesnt really produce much more power. Its running ok now but i will be putting on EFI soon so should be better.

More pictures...Testing out my new digital camera. Ive done a bit to the car now. Put my wheels on, VP Radiator, New 2.25 inch exhaust with 4 inch canon, Tacho, Half the microtech fuel injection computer, Sports steering wheel,Battery in the boot. Have given it a good clean and its looking better.

I guess we are looking for the tacho pulse/drive wire not the negitive. most tachos use green for the pulse wire (if your is diffrent follow the instructions) if you ground/negitive the wire you tacho will not work. don't know much about the model toyota you have but maybe the ECU (computer) drives the dizzy and supplys the inbuilt coil with the pulse. Find a wiring diagram and look for the tach drive pin on the ECU. I wouldnt play too much with the dizzy as i don't think youll find it there and may also damage something. My 84 model pulsar dizzy and coil are controlled buy the ECU and the 4 wires on the dizzy are +12, - Ground, fire pulse, Home position. none of them will run a tacho.

What Suspension Setup Do You Have? And For What?
NickZ replied to OverDose's topic in Automotive Discussion
well fook....I'm intrested what you have got in the rear of yours....mine axles tramps real bad or any other members with leaf springs. My shocks are ok but maybe it needs better? -
Wow they are hard on you guys. Tassie they wouldnt even know what a cat was and as far as I know they don't even have anything to test them with here.

thanks Grimwolge for fixing the pics. the spoiler is already gone now.

I'm now the owner of a ke30 corolla after going over the car I am going to keep it and sell the ke70. saves me alot of work and its a 2 door. machanics of the ke70 are far better than the ke30 eg rack steering, coil spring rear. but the ke30 has after market bigger front sway bar, lowered pedder front springs etc. will take pics this weekend. wheel spin is fun, including backing off in second to get traction back (I only had standard wheels when i picked it up.) And i think for the sum of $900 with rego, I think I did ok.

yeah i have a microtech lt8 in the rolla now. so its not a problem. so just the manifold with the throttle body and injectors and fuel rail is all that i need.
-
I'm so happy....Tomorrow if all goes well. Ill be buying a ke30 corolla with a 2T-GEU and 5 speed box for a donor for my KE70. It has the twin solex carbs. I also will be on the look out for the fuel injected manifold to suit as i already have fuel injection all set up in the car on the current motor.. I'm hoping as the other car has been fully converted. most of it can be used in my ke70. I'm now going to look for any info on the conversion in the forums Ill update tomorrow.

Ive removed my roof linning. But there is fuzzy stuff left with the contact glue used in the fatcory. Anyone have a good way of removing it? I see fook has removed his i guess he would of had the same problem before painting?

Yes I'm still here. My wife and daughter come first. Computers take most of my time these days. trying to run a web server and web page of a LAN racing group I joint run. www.loosenutracing.com Run a online Live for speed league. I have no less than 7 computers in my house. 2 Hyperstims (http://www.hyperstimulator.com) Jus finished my RC boat...electric speed boat but its never seen water yet. Reading posts on Rollaclub  EBAY....EBAY....EBAY....EBAY.... Watching the TV. WWE Oh and WORK

I have been thinking of that conversion myself. but the engines here (Tassie) are around $1000 mark for a CA18DET. $450 for 5 speed gearbox. Ive got the microtech ecu alerady fitted to my ke70 so that part is easy for me and bigger radiator. My biggest problem is CASH..I don't have any :jason:
-
Fuel injection fixes that  I turn the key and give it a little rev then drive as if its warm. most mornings lately have been around the -1 and I havent had a problem :D just thought id add that as i havent added anything for awhile.

and another thing....why does the handbrake only brake only the back wheels and not all the wheels?

Hey....I don't understand about the AFM/map problem....your car is running a AFM ECU and you don't have a AFM?...that would be why the ECU light would be on. the AFM uses a temp sensor in combination to the water temp as a reference as well as a flap/hotwire sensor for fuel mixture. I don't understand how the car runs as this is the most important part of the ECU. I would say if the car runs it would be running mega lean thats why it doesnt want to go as the voltage at minium would be 0 volts for the ecu and 5/12 volts for maximum air flow (I'm guessing the 5/12volts as I have never mersured it)so without the AFM the ecu may think its at idle and then you add more air by opening the throttle the engine will still free rev ok but under load will be very lean as the air and fuel mixture wont richen. Map....what map? there is no map for a AFM ecu. If you have the MAP sensor fitted (usual place is high on the firewall with a vac pipe to the manifold, and some times confused with the unit for the vac/boost gauge in the standard dash cluster) That is if someone has fitted it when the engine was changed (if the map sensor was removed from the car the engine came from) There wouldnt be any where for it to be wired as the signals are totaly diffrent (it is impossible for change either system from what the ecu was made for...if it could be id be rich :)) id be buying something like a microtech ecu (uses map) so in the future there will be endless upgrades for you ..(the standard ecu will also the boostcut etc....YUCK) my brothers car uses the same ecu and has boost cut at around 11psi...fuel cut defender you say....BAD. leans out the fuel at big boost. does this help answer your problem I'm guessing you car setup as ive only just jumped into this thread. but this my help some of you in the future.

Hey i just put some on my rolla but didnt go to that much trouble. put the pins in the radiator support panel just inside of the headlights bolted them on and dropped the bonnet and drilled where the little dents where.. they were like nail punch holes and so the drill didnt slip (well a little bigger than nail punch but did the job). easy...5 minute job. put the pins across left to right. :)

Nick Nick Nickz coz thats the best I could think of at the time, I'm not really into name things:) only other problem is "Nick" is a very common name on this board.

Use a multimeter set on ohms and see what ohms they read. they will be approx the ohms but not dead on.
