  1. think i got one still, PM me
  2. Spotto a clean beige KE70 pulling into the veggie shed near Kmart . was an older fella driving.
  3. Flares would look tuff, you got some for sale eh?
  4. Yeah nice, am considering on getting one myself actually, and a nice cam :y:
  5. I thought it was that feeling in the bottom of your gut, then you realize its just dinner stirring :y:
  6. Needs......more......offset..... :y: Looks tuff, but the flares maybe a tad to wide.. How does it go with the single DCOE?
  7. prolly not that much, but you get the idea.. it would be a noticeable amount, and prolly enough to make it quicker or spin wheels longer ect.. the user would notice it very quickly
  8. Is the battery in boot? Is the battery in good condition? Could possibly be a bad earth, Have you tried running a Hi Energy coil without a ballist resistor, I'm sure that causes the points to burn out quicker but might give a stronger spark?, but so will your tyres and other parts anyway :y: Maybe try a MSD ignition box thing, provides like 3 times the spark. then again it don't explain why it ran on last motor :hmm:
  9. it would rev faster, smoother, have a bit more top end.. wont be like going from a 3k to a 2JZ sorta difference, but id think atleast from a stock 3k, to a mild 5k maybe?
  10. I think the bigport cams could be a goer... by them selves they might no make a huge difference. But if you add those cams, a decent cold air intake system, set of extractors and a decent exhaust. Give it a good service, run on Premium fuel and get the timing set. I'm sure all of that together would make the car "feel" faster and snappier to drive. Its not one thing that makes huge power, it a mixture of small things that can make a car feel nice to drive and not a real pig. i find a 32/36 on a bog stock 4k is rubbish, too big. too boggy, uses more fuel ect. Match that with a nice cam, extractors some head work and a good strong spark and the little 4k will feel a whole lot more snappier and quicker.
  11. So if i find a Tacho that has a Globe, then it can be wired up to a limiter cause the globe pulls enough amps to trigger the relay?
  12. Doesn't the shift light have to run off the 12v line though? i thought all the tacho's with built in lights are not 12v? Also why does the rana one sound so much different to yours? cause of the motor? or way it was setup?
  13. And curious if this would work? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Speco-Shift-Light-a...93%3A2|294%3A50 Rather not have a super dooper 10" tacho blocking my view
  14. SO the KE has the "home made" limiter, and the Torana has something else Si? the rana sounds tuff haha
  15. What if they captive? i know cut springs is bad period... but the main reason ive seen is that the spring don't hold captive... i have 2 and half coils cut on my celica struts, and the spring is still captive. But am ordering some KYB short stroke shocks, and possibly some 5 or 6kg springs.
  16. the KE70 pedal box would most likely NOT fit, the setup looks different. The KE70 5 speed will fit into the KE55, but i think you need to use your existing cross member and you will need to cut the shifter hole (at a guess) about an inch back. which means you would need to mod the center console or remove it.
  17. It will buff out...... You idiot, what did you hit ??? ;)... you being a rain warrior again hehe
  18. can you actually hear it like all those hectic silvia and skyline owners when they sit on it and all you hear is DA DA DA DA DA up the road?
  19. Not sure Si, cheers for the offer though, Its the Motor out of Tofu, so timing was last done when you did it ;) Anywho have got it tuned pretty good i think, changed plugs today and they where a tanish color, and the middle bit was a off white. checked Google and that's in the normal range from what i gather. Also replaced the dirty black oil, and Put a Ryco Oil Filter on... so its all fresh ;)
  20. any updates?
  21. or you could buy a pipe flare tool, and a heap of pipe. then you can redo all your pipes at once. if one has failed, expect the otherside to soon. it did to me :bash:
  22. id use XT130 struts over AE86 gear.... 1) the 86 gear is pretty expensive. 2) the XT130 has twin piston calipers, decent sized rotor 3) there is a few different options on brake upgrades for the XT130, ra60/MX62 combo, or the pug/hilux combo. 4) though the AE86 struts are shorter yes, and yes some have have put RX7 calipers on for better clamping force. For the average joe, the XT130 struts with decent pads, and coilovers would be great. And lol at your interior... its so funky :bash: :y:
  23. You might find Darren has actually been driving it around..... 20kays at a time :bash: seems to break down every 20kays, :y: here is a current pic, (i can take it off if ya don't want it on Daz :D )
