re upholstered my boot 1: cause it was dirty asss 2. to stop my subs sliding around, after strip out before clean: went to bunning got an 1800 x 900 16mm sheet of mdf cut to fit: also bought a metre and a half of marine/car carpeting and some more staples for the old brad/staple gun these are the subs: finished product with my brother being maaaaaad all done for under a hunjy massive improvement so sound deadning (side note had to bog a bit of rust under the boot seal to stop water ruining my handiwork :/)

working with lots of old english sports cars, triumph stags v8's particularly things that are very susceptable to breakage, i find if you give it a bootful without driving like a retard (over-revving, clutch coasting etc like BAD driving) gives you a better feel for what you've done/what you've got to fix if you know what you're looking for :)

i will be putting up a guide or showcase of my own version of this soon as i was in exactly the same position, and find it a common occurence, one of the main ways to stop this happening in future is replace the seals around your boot keeping the water out keeps out the damp and mouldy contaminants :) you can pick up metres and metres of seals like this for 3 bucks a metre :)

are those plastics the original ae82 ones (seeing as you did that amazing 92 conversion), cause if so i would definately take em off your hands, and yeah i'm re-upholstering black, door trim carpets and the boot as i can do these all myself with the time i have running 14" by 4" i think? on pretty small tyres but i only have to flare it a little just because when i turn it just scrapes it's king's super lows so 2" or 2.5 i can't remember, haha i'm looking to upgrade mechanically speaking into rear disc brakes and probably a near master cylinder and then after i get a bit of moolah a straight sr20 conversion (i'm a neeesfag) haha

snap on tools definately for ratchets/spanners all hand tools hands down, amazingly manufacutured and engineered purely amazing. :D

obviously they drove statesmen thinking they where "luxury cars" and "sophisticated" ... purely because of the car they drove, which isn't any of those things
