  3. guys, i'm not seeing any phone numbers where i can buy cheap playstation twos... :)
  4. that's probably my biggest pet peeve, the your/you're thing i would love to make one of those forum pictures that reads "YOUR a moron who can't spell - it's you're" when i was in year 12, our SCHOOL CAPTAIN had her 18th birthday party and gave absolutely EVERYONE (even people she hated like me) invitations that read in big letters over half the page... YOUR INVITED!!! i pissed myself. i might not be the school captain, hell i might just be some long haired nerdy kid who turns up less than half the time and sleeps alot when he does, but at least i can f@$king spell :)
  5. surely you could rotate the compressor housing so it points up and have a flex joint to a custom plenum whose opening faces down
  6. MMM LOOK AT THAT YUMMY i can so see something like that fitting in a corolla engine bay, none of this stupid J pipe under the motor crap. how's your short responsive intake tract  if i was ever going to turbo a K engine, THAT is how i would do it. thanks fook :)
  7. holy crap i never would have picked that as a K motor in a million years. how's the tappet cover! interesting that he still kept it slanted too
  8. there were some photos around somewhere (fook?) of craig's datsun 1200 turbo manifold and SU carby setup. it's a work of art seriously
  9. if anyone can get me a cheap ps2 off the back of a truck i'm all ears (and wallet!
  10. i was under the impression they're also illegal in australia
  11. i saw a ke70 wagon in byron bay the other day with wing mirrors. it was just a beaten up normal looking daily driver thing, but i just about gave myself whiplash taking a second look after my corolla radar brushed past it :)
  12. old car rattles, gotta hate em
  13. golly gosh that 7k manifold looks familiar :)
  14. for something that "just goes", you can get in and either drive normally or blast away and be in no real danger of crashing because the vehicle is basically "point and squirt", an efi fwd car is tops. i have the chance to drive them as work cars and it's a nice experience, but god i'd never own one if you had a bigger car with fwd, or even a small car making alot of power and a f@$kload of torque steer, or had to deal with all the issues of a carburetted car and couldn't even do proper donuts - that would suck plus, fwd cars make engine conversions difficult, so really unique modified cars are few and far between, and expensive to do yourself. and i'm sorry, but pulling the handbrake on and fogging up the front wheels looks absolutely gay in summary
  15. they came mostly on wagons and panelvans, so you can see behind you decently when you fill the back up full of crap and can't use the rear view mirror. i've seen them on sedans too tho, factory and all
  16. easy solution: don't put a stereo in your car just listen you your engine hitting 8000rpm :)
  17. yes, you get a 5k, then you either get a 4k-e or 7k-e efi manifold or you make your own, then you make a custom exhaust manifold and you bolt a turbo onto it, and voila you have a turbo efi 5k you've obviously just head about angela's car?
  18. for fuel usage, 2500kw with of corolla, 750kw worth of mazda :) covergirl would you please stop hijacking threads, we're trying to have a nonsense discussion about cars here
  19. a stock ke20 with an oily 3k that does 19 second quarters, has about 10 billion times the street cred, than any dickless front wheel drive hatch such as an ae82 it is ok to appreciate wrong cars, but not to desire them. naughty ben!
  20. here's somthing to think about a 4ag has four injectors, of about 200cc/min. at 80% duty cycle, you're using at most 640cc of fuel per minute, or just over half a litre now that thing has twelve 1700cc injectors. under full load, and at a tad over 80% duty cycle (owing to the big boost), you're using about SIXTEEN AND A HALF LITRES OF FUEL A MINUTE or the equivalent of 25 4ag corollas holding it on rev limiter that's alot of fuel!
  21. i signed too! i'll post it on oldcorollas
  22. voltage regulator gone. if it was making 17v for any decent amount of time, you're lucky your battery didnt explode volt meters are a good idea
  23. hi. if anyone has 17 large sitting around and it's really causing you a pain in the ass, feel free to direct deposit it into my bank account and i'll put it to good use. no, really, there's no need to thank me, i'm more than happy to accept your problematic currency, now gimme gimme gimme http://www.dysonrotary.com.au/Used%20Parts.asp 20B Engine Package Ported and dowlled 20B with stud kit with custom inlet with 100mm throtle body, 12 x 1700cc injectors, Microtech LTX-12 with 3 bar map sensor, exhaust manifold to suit 3 turbos, mechanical fuel pump, twin plate clutch and flywheel, many extras. This engine has made 1000+hp. $17,000.00 TWELVE 1700cc injectors. TWELVE OF THEM!!! you'd want to really like filling up at the servo alot ay!
  24. if you do put a passenger side mirror on (and there are two different types for ke30/55, short stork and long stork) go to the wreckers and pull the drivers side one off a car, and get the little panel that sits behind the mirror that the screws thread into. if you're like me, you'll get the factory screws too, so everything is genuine toyota fastening your mirror to your door with self tappers is not good i am going to do this myself one day, when i can be bothered to get the panel from a ke20. i'll measure the distance the drivers mirror holes are in and down and attempt to copy that on the passenger side. i will also drill a pilot hole and check my work so it's as accurate as factory. get a little brush and spray some paint (primer will do) into a lid and paint the inside edge of the new holes so they don't rust measure 10 million times, drill once
