  1. yeah this is a bit of a whore thread isn't it :) i'd be happy with any clean body and interior example, as far as the FC3S (series 4/5) goes anyway. it pretty much goes without saying that any rotary that's done +120,000km is going to be wanting a rebuild or new motor soon, so if you want big power, factor in another ~6k for a decent build and some cool bits ideally, pay another 5 grand to start off with and get one thats already got motor, exhaust, wheels, front mount, etc etc done to it
  2. YAY I WANT TO BE THERE WITH A BANNER THAT SAYS RED DWARF whos your favorite red dwarf character? i like kryten
  3. how about we follow behind and we can be the Official Redwrf Push Start And Palm Frond Team!!! :) (i was going to post a picture of a muscle man, but i just found gay pornsites and got scared off)
  4. start an rx7 group purchase thread :)
  5. no but i'd ask it. i'd pay 350~400 for it
  6. the crew would probably like some of that wood. if it floats anyway :)
  7. gunmetal grey japanese import series 5 turbo, accept no substitutes
  8. they do, but something like that is going to start working at like 130+ km/h, which realistically, most rice burners don't do often, and only then in a straight line. and it's YOU'RE
  9. corolla wars i like rally cars :)
  10. no it's just the bodykit :) actually this would probably be the first time in history one of those big hatch wings actually DOES something
  11. rally trohpy's all big and new and stuff. burn it for us :) for console k motor goodness, play gran turismo 2, buy an 83 or 84 "starlet 3 door turbo" and it's actually a kp61 with a 4k, they just didn't rename it from the ep71 model. the gear ratios are all incorrect, you can't make them real corolla ratios. even with a turbo you can only get like 176hp out of it max. and it's still slow as a motherf@$ker
  12. let's look at how much this all costs to buy in working condition 4k motor, complete w/all access (alt etc) $150 big port head $80-$200 sprinter twin carbs $300 elec dizzy $150 extractors (ke20) $50 mild cam $80 so far that's around 750 to a grand's worth of bits. i'd ask $500ish you really need to define "a noise". if it's say timing chain, then that's all good and easy fixed. if it's say, a big end bearing or rod bolt, well, at least you'd be getting a bargain on the rest. you're either going to have to fix it or put all the good stuff on another motor
  13. there is a difference between "recondition" and "race port with oversize valves, 7 angle valve seats, heavy springs and provision for massively increased lift", which is probably still too expensive for a grand
  14. that's one of the most exciting stories i've read, i like it :) whenever shit goes all pear shaped, i think to myself, oh well at least it will make a good story one day, and it doesn't seem so bad. probably wouldn't help at the time tho...
  15. with invisible background :)
  16. i will look for this!
  17. i need a ps2 i reckon :) getting used to corners/gears/mph in colin 1 now, i can beat at least 1 rally on intermediate (haha by 25 minutes suck that colin mcrae). it's got the evo 4, omg drool drool, pity the wrx (colin's car) is just so rigged, it's SO much quicker around corners than all the others
  18. lol, i was actually thinking that myself the other day, staging properly would be the hardest part for drag racing for your first time out have you seen that movie of the guy in the porsche who stages in reverse and launches? :)
  19. yeah i've seen it too (me, television, wtf?) it never dawned on me that it was an intercooler, that's quite amusing
  20. that's phat as :) ben's car's 2nd gear hop reminds me of robevo. they both don't actually look that slow when they're even hey. you guys were on a drag strip, thats so cool
  21. fook, humor me and book your car into ballina brake and exhaust one saturday morning. you can stay at my house friday night or whenever you want, hang out with us down here and make a little weekend out of it, and get your handbrake fixed at the same time. if ross can't fix it, nobody can!!! it will be so worth your time doug, just so you know, i've heard of people getting defected for wearing race numbers on their windows. but it does look cool, and gives you MASSIVE street cred on cavill avenue too, even the chicks point and shout "omg they went racing today COOL!" :)
  22. thumbs up champ, super job! (hey nick we need a thumbs up emoticon)
