  1. you also have to engineer turbo and efi upgrade (unleaded filler neck, etc) and will have to upgrade front brakes, and you'll lunch stock diffs pretty easy sidedrafts bolt on and you install a fuel pump and pressure reg and you're away but there's also a huge power difference. it depends how far you're willing to go, each has its good and bad points
  2. in australia, if you visibly modify the firewall by cutting, welding, etc , your car usually gets defected and blacklisted so you can never register it again firewall modification is unsafe, and not necessary to put a 4age in any corolla
  3. considering excels use rwd offset, elantras may also use rwd offset. worth a try floating wheel spacers are illegal because they are unsafe. bolt on wheel spacers are legal with an engineering certificate you also need to have the change in wheel track within legal limits, and wheels within legal size, etc
  4. nice little car, i've always liked that shape, it's unique good to see someone modifying a fwd AE corolla who hasn't put a big ugly bar and mesh on it, and who has spent the money on good things like suspension, and has aspirations of race seats and circuit racing :blinks: those wheels look good. there's a white ae92 seca in my town with them too, i've often contemplated how well they suit the body :(( sweet numberplates too :danger: keep us posted with your progress. you get the official superjamie stamp of approval as well
  5. check the chassis underneath, if it's not bent you could just get another rear quarter and weld it on with no ill effect. the fact the bumper's straight indicates it's only panel damage then again, it would probably be cheaper and easier to get another shell :(( good luck with it
  6. me :(( i like pics of the people as well as the cars
  7. yeah i liked it too i commented towards the end of the day that i liked the style in which you've done the car. just nice and simple, neat and old school, but very clean and classy most young fellas these days get any old car and want sikbro 17s and neons and subwoofers, it's refreshing to see someone left to their own devices and come up with something better than i could have done myself. top effort blue ke20 gets the official superjamie stamp of approval :blinks: :((
  8. capris are definitely cool, fook is in love with capri peranas :(( i find it amusing they released a 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder, all in the same body, all with 4 bolt wheel hubs (and 4x114.3 at that) it's like what the LJ torana should have been
  9. CRICKET BALLS!?! omg haha when i built this one, me and a mate went out the industrial estate and tried to get it to work. we had way too much spray stuff in there so it wouldn't ignite. we tried for ages and eventually gave up, i said "oh well i guess it's not going to-" clickBANG. we didn't see it, so we turn around to go back to the spud bag and here this big "boong", it's hit a shed. an open shed! we're watching the shed and are like "they're not coming out, they're not coming out... oh shit they're coming out!" and did a runner back to the car and scrammed we then went and let some off near an old country fire station hut and that was tops :blinks: my ke10 shell also had spud stains on it when i wrecked it :((
  10. http://public.fotki.com/superjamie/cars/all_toyota_day_2005/ upping now. be done in an hour
  11. cool. a dude in town here had a race spec gt28 on a gze ae82, it went alright. you'd be running a 13 with that much power yeah?
  12. you can kill them with a stock motor if you drive hard enough. the metal in these things is getting 20 or 30 years old, it just can't handle the shock loading and stress that being driven hard puts on the components, never mind a modified K, never mind a 4ag
  13. didn't you ask this somewhere else? there is a gearbox that may fit, but you'll blow it up very fast. don't bother
  14. teachers all end up angry people anyway. no amount of money is worth that i still could go to uni, as mature age now! wow, that makes me feel old. nick, you're in a better position to do it as well, you live at home, i have rent and stuff to pay
  15. caption "my mom is going to kill me"
  16. i don't know what six capris used here, but i learnt everything i know about them from larry webb from the capri club of chicago, so that would explain that :)
  17. streeter leaves 900kg on the papers, probably 50kg heavier in real life
  18. there is a k50 which came on 3a-u motors, but you wouldn't use it, it would break very quickly behind a 4age. find a t50
  19. ae86s don't have leaf springs, therefore leaf springs suck. toymods logic in the first japanese D1 grand prix round EVER there was a twin headlight ke70 with a gze in it. ken has the video
  20. cool, nice find :) either way, they're going to be better than any downdraft you could put on the car. run small chokes, 28mm would be ideal, 32mm would be alright
  21. if you read that article, it says he fried the engine shortly after the photo shoot. to be expected. and rebuilt :P sr20det is no longer legal into ke20 either, in nsw anyway, wld20t has been around for a long time :) much like all the 13bt rollas like grimas let's have a moment for grimas to show him much love and respect
  22. i have perfect confidence in you :) you can always make a backup of the config so you can change it back? setup a little test machine at home with a webserver, or a virtual machine. gimme a yell if you want vmware
  23. lol. but that's the thing about uni. sure you could have got a full time job just because you're an intelligent person, and earnt $30-$50k for the rest of your life, much like i probably will. you might have a hecs debt, but you also earn probably double what i do, so you can pay that off alot quicker
  24. that's a very nice powerband. what's the turbo off?
  25. is this the front wheel drive sedan that handbrakes and bends the rear hub on the gutter?
