  1. fred flintstone spec. imagine how far you'd have to move the rear shocks in, it would be a cornering nightmare
  2. sydney speed supplies - 02 9607 2299 they point down, will bring on the weekend. bring some latex gloves too, it's got some machining dust on it and your hands get really dirty when you touch it
  3. when you translate it, it doesn't even make sense. something about umbrellas and tables. and the wheels used to be 5" wide, and some mention of magnesium
  4. macguyver built the pyramids. with a piece of string, a car battery, 2 empty cd cases and a banana
  5. there are no stock 4-1 extractors
  6. i'd be apprehensive about owning a kp61 here for the same reason i wouldn't own a te27 in australia. it's such a rare car that you wouldn't daily drive it. i wouldn't even weekend drive it like i do my ke25. and racing it is such a risk, if anything happened it would be so hard to find parts like panels and whatever suspension parts are unique to them. you'd want at least 3 decent part cars that's the best thing about corollas, even the "rare" ones like ke15s and ke25s, they're still cheap and plentiful
  7. that's exactly what it looks like, except mine's black 40 bucks on ebay, but it's a performance shop too, i'll have a look where from tonight
  8. why bother, a 4age would be worth as much as the bellhousing, and it's a better motor than a 4e to start with
  9. wow, someone who realises a engine conversion costs more than 5 dollars. i like this john deere guy!
  10. ahh. mine would lag real bad, but kinda slow down the movement i gave it and lock on one direction until it recovered again. that's what you get for trying to play halflife on a celeron 333 running windows 2000 :)
  11. usually a loop consists of 2 L shaped brackets which bolt to the floor, and the loop itself is two u-shaped pieces which bolt to holes in the bracket. i'll get some photos of mine if you want (still sitting in the box :)) even just a bracket which went from one side of the trans tunnel to the other would be good, as long as the tailshaft doesn't hit it as it goes up and down maybe get the tailshaft checked for runout in the middle? a custom carbon fibre shaft is about $1200 all made up ready to bolt in
  12. i agree. optical mice still skip, and usb has a shitty refresh or buffering or something, playing halflife with a usb mouse is painful a mate of mine uses two mice, a usb cordless optical thing for general windows because it's comfy, but still a trusty old wired ps2 ball mouse for gaming
  13. i gave my mate some LED globes for his FTO for christmas. you use them because they look PHAT :) but good point about the indicators indicators should have SPREAD light like a filament globe, not DIRECT light like an LED. much of my bitch about clear indicators, the reflectors they use inside them make them impossible to see on the side, such as when a car is coming at you from the other side of a roundabout
  14. hahaha totally irrelevant but i like your style
  15. pcv and fast idle help your car. 3k-h emissions system is good feeding exhaust back into the inlet manifold, and making air pass thru a thousand throttle hoses and valves so it can actuate the secondary throat doesn't help. 4k-c is bad, and trust me, you can't miss it teddy or justin or xany, post a photo of your engine bay when it was stock
  16. i had to "machine" down a 17mm socket to have thinner walls so i could do up one of the manifold bolts when i put my SUs on. i say "machine" because i used the angle grinder, then i polished it with a buffing wheel on a drill so it doesn't rust, it actually looks pretty cool
  17. sideveiw.jpg - your spelling is as good as teddy's :)
  18. no probs, but i'll need a week or two to get the cash to you if that's ok?
  19. 10 points to justin, post of the month
  20. that's wierd, so it's something in the driveline that gets cancelled out by having the mass of the engine to dampen it down it's a possibility that you could have bent the tailshaft or a uni when you put the car on the ground. hard to tell without renewing or replacing if you pull either handbrake on whilst moving does it make any difference? tho that's more troubleshooting shuddering under brakes
  21. shrug, something that won't wear quick. steel pipe might be a good idea. needs to be a very snug fit over the original rod
  22. a thicker headgasket is worse. google "quench area" like i said before, and work out how thick your head gasket needs to be from what else you do to the head and pistons are we still talking about a K motor here? if you want to run big boost, you're going to have to spend alot of money. alot. they can usually handle 0.5bar until they go bang regularly
