  1. Remove the spring top hat, spring and rubber boot (if it has one). You'll then see there's a nut in the top of the strut tube. Remove that - you might need to use a hammer and punch to loosen it, and then you can lift out the shock. Reverse order for re-assembly. :jamie:
  2. You're wrong!! :jamie: No need for a cooler. You'd loose your oil pressure if you did. T piece the feed from the oil pressure switch, return it through a fitting welded onto the sump. Water - Just plumb it in line with the heater box. If you can't find them on this first page you're not looking hard enough.... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=10940
  3. :jamie: Like thats hard!
  4. Think you'll find that the pod filter itself is legal. However you would need to make a little box around it in the engine bay.
  5. Kudo's for wanting to be different.... I like different, thats why I built my car the way it is. However, as Hiro said, this is just different to the point of difficult. :jamie: If you own the alfa engine already and its a good motor, maybe look at selling it to fund a 4age/gze/gte/20v conversion. Yes there is already one 20v ae95 here, but you can still be different to him. 4agze's got dropped into all sorts of cars, but I can't say I've ever seen one in an AE95!! Has anybody else????
  6. You're running bolt on spacers aren't you? What thickness if so? Being illegal, did they even notice those? and try and find you a link re increased track rules. :jamie:
  7. Try here Might be a good place to start! :jamie:
  8. Yeah it should be,..... but nothing will test it like some michey thompson and a 7000+rpm launch!! :jamie: Years ago a mate who also had an RX4 (with the bigger 13b diff/axles) ran some slicks at the drags. Tried to launch it hard and busted BOTH axles at once. That then became a throw away diff because how do you bash out 2x bits of broken axles!!! Was only a 13b bridgey and 13b diffs are supposed to hand slicks.
  9. here's the 20v one.... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=14705
  10. Anything is possible. Just a matter of how big your wallet is! :) eg, Mate of mine has a Merc Vito van with an Evo 7 4G63, but he's now around $20K poorer. As they have an A series motor, there is a couple of "bolt in" toyota options. There's a member here who put a 20v in his, have a search and you should find it. Putting another make engine in is going to get expensive quick by the time you've sorted out gearboxes, drive shafts etc etc.
  11. Read it right, just miss-undertsood what it meant. Yeah It'll be 3mm total. Doesn't say anything about bigger valves though so the bigger ports are sort of just going to waste. $700 is rediculous. I got a re-face and some porting done last year for under $400!!
  12. Link to add? I can't find it. Would probably be 3mm total diametre. so the side walls of the ports have only had 1.5mm taken off them which is entirely possible.
  13. Good luck find the pin-outs for a ksev ECU!! :) You're most likely going to have to adapt a electronic speedo sender to give you some sort of speed pulse. These things (RSM's) are really not designed for cars that still use cable speedos.
  14. ....with some slicks maybe. Either that or something will go SNAP!!! :)
  15. Stock mechanical pumps will do in the meantime. Plan to upgrade to an electric pump and adjustable regulator though. Yes you'll need some down jetting. A couple of hundred $ would be very well spent on some dyno tuning to get it spot on. :)
  16. :y: do you maybe mean 0.2mm and 0.3mm http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...alve_Clearances :)
  17. And what was the point of this one! :)
  18. Only put this in the FAQ yesterday..... http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...ne/K-Series/TRD Diagrams are better than pictures!! :)
  19. Yeah I wrote a how too in the FAQ a couple of weeks ago. :)
  20. A/C - first thing I would be doing is taking it to and A/C speaialist to see if its a simple case of re-gassing. If not they could probably tell you whats wrong. As for the diff, son of stig already on the money, pretty sure ratios are different between sedan/wagon as well as manual/auto. Depending if your '55 has a rear sway bar or not, I'd also be fitting that to the wagon which wouldn't have one.
  21. Felix beat me to it. Yeah consider a K50 just to have an overdrive. The ratios are different, but only slightly. So much so you'd hardly notice the difference. Actual ratios can be found here... http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Manual_Gearbox ;)
  22. So it does. I just browsed over it (and missed that valve bit) and posted the link. Some good engine building info there, I might go and chuck it in the FAQ if its not already there.
  23. Hate to be a stick in the mud TRD ke70 but have a look on page 6 under: STAGE III 1. CYLINDER HEAD (1) Main modifications Enlarge the intake and exhaust ports to improve the intake and exhaust efficiency.... http://www.vhtracing.com/TRD_K_ENGINE_MANUAL.pdf
  24. Wagon with fold down seats would have been better for a wedding car! Not much room on the back seat of a '35! ;)

    My Ke70

You don't need to do a blow-through fuel setup for draw through, ie don't have to have a return line. Just conventional carby setup but keep to flow up to it. ;)
