  1. Yeah I think so, but they can't post anything. Its not like you need to be logged in to see 99% of the forum anyway.
  2. :) Not too sure, mght not be a strong enough signal under the rubber. Do Ke10's have a chrome strip around the windscreen on top of the rubber? You could always try soldiering some wires to the back of the chrome strip and use that as the aerial!? :D
  3. You mean running a wire under the screen rubber?
  4. No in the mazda is laminated between the 2x sheets of glass. Not exactly something you can do without spending a fortune on a custom screen.
  5. Thought that was the case, just clarifying. :) Thats just how the ignition side of an aftermarket ECU works: Static incoming pulse from dizzy (locked) as a reference for "box" (ecu or jaycar kit)>timing manipulation in "box" (dependant on load [TPS] and transient [MAP] sensors)>ignitor*>coil. *I reckon it would be a MUST to use an ignitor with one of these jaycar kits just like an ECU as well. Because they fire the coil by grounding it you need to use an ignitor otherwise the discharge from the coil will fry your ECU or jaycar kit if it goes through it. Ignitors are really simple, they're just a fast switching, earthing relay. Yell out if you want me to explain more.
  6. See if you can get them through toyota. If you can't find them listed for a Liteace, maybe get them to check (if they can) for a 5k forklift listing. As for using normal bolts and possible turnulance in the port from left over hole, yeah it could cause some. Go stick your finger up the ex port of another 3k/4k head cause I think they have an internal casting that head towards were these "bolts" are. Think we ported and smoothed them out a bit on my 3kbp head. What I'm getting at is if all other K motors still have a dip in the ex ports for these bits (which doesn't seem to be that much of a problem) them you might be right just blocking them with normal bolts. FYI - If you go to a brasswear shop they might be able to make you some custom made bolts to look like that one pictured on a lathe. I had to get an custom made adapter to put my Wolf 3d water temp sensor into the stock K thermostat housing.
  7. Its a 5k head yeah? Has lugs? Some late 5k's had a weird exhaust recirluation system on them which had a fuel rail looking thing running across the corner of the head. It has a fitting that plugs into each exhasut port - Notice in your picture theres one over ex port number 4 as well. However number one is already blocked with a bolt, maybe try doing this to all of them. Are the other holes threaded? Don't quote me but I think these heads where also on 5k's with the O-dish pistons factory. :)
  8. Another place to check for an AM aerial Jip - My rx4 actually has a very thin wire that runs through the front windscreen. Being of around the same era your Galant might be the same?
  9. Did you pull the pushrod out to check it didn't get bent?
  10. :)
  11. Come on guys they're obviously "speacial". They do drive a commonwhore. Look at the picture though. How did they honestly think it would fit. :)
  12. You've only got to remove the vacuum line to stop vacuum advance. "locking a dizzy" means stopping the mechanical advance.
  13. $40-50 should get you a new full set of genuine cups and o-rings. :)
  14. What type of fuel you running? If using ULP then try some PULP and see if it stops pinging.
  15. Put up a wanted add in the wanted section. You could also have a look for somebody wrecking a Ksev and ask them if they've got one. :)
  16. IIHO I don't think I'd bother with a T series for a rota conversion, just go straight for a hilux. I know you won't like that idea much financially, but it'll save you just in the cost of replacement axles (and T series axles aren't the easiest to find) in the long run. :)
  17. if it a 4k dizzy then replace springs with tie wire. Saying that I wouldn't use a 4k dizzy for it again. I'd use a 3k dizzy which are more reliable to lock up. ....funnily enough the one I can sell you is a 3k one. $50 would include postage. :)
  18. Nope. What brand HG you using? Genuine? I usually give mine a little spray with some "copper gasket" aerosole stuff, but its not neccessary.
  19. So your ke25 currently has a 3k in it with a cracked valve?
  20. Take the backing plate off your diff and have a look. There's a shim on either (outer) side of the bearings. These allow you to move the crownwheel closer or further away from the pinion by the thickness of them. You need to keep the over shim thicknees the same though otherwise the centre will move side to side.
  21. I normally just give it a clean up with a paint scraper type tool that has a stanley knife blade in it. Just make sure you don't score it though.
  22. Cast iron is usual slightly more expensive than alloy as its a bit rougher on their machinery.
  23. Send him a message on youtube. Did you have sand in your vagina yesterday Dan? Just because its still in a planning stage doesn't mean its not a project. :)
  24. Thats the conclusion they came to on Rove's "PC or not PC" last night. All the midgets were willing participants so whats the problem!? Thats like carpet burn but in a wrestling ring. So do you call it "ring burn"?
  25. You don't need to do that with a K40 or K50. The switch for reverse is on the gate for reverse (resistance you feel) and the gear doesn't actually need to be engaged. So all you need to do to flash to reverse lights is push the shifter all the way to the drivers side. Obviously don't engage reverse while going forward. :P
