I've had to get PCD's drilled a couple of times. I just take it to a local mchine shop who do a lot of brake services etc.
They have big machine that they can put nearly any wheel on, type the PCD into the control panel and it does the rest all perfectly.
I got some discs re-drilled and it was like $30 for 2x. Surely there be somewhere in Adelaide who could also do this. Kudos to your enginuity though!
Ah sorry I wasn't very clear there.
I though you already had a T series in it and blew the T centre. I only have a T centre available as I need the rest of the diff to put in my '55.
Your current diff may be still usable with the aid of a welder.
My dad was telling me about this yesterday. Warney is apparently hosting the british show with Clarkson and if he does well will be made a host of the aussie show.
Wonder where this leaves the Aussie show now since SBS has been producing it!? Will 9 pick it up!?
Cool cool, I'll pop into BMW tomorrow and grab it then.
Sorry to pester you about it but I just need it to move one of my cars from Car Accessories. Only been sitting there for 6 months since I moved!
BTW, do you just need a T series centre?
I have a whole T diff which had the pinion flange fall off and jam the centre. Have another centre for it. I can pull it apart and see what damage (if any) is done to it, might still be usable.
Was a speacial episode in the USA. I have it on DVD, its one of the 4 or 5 they're advertising on tellie at the mo.

Just noticed - Top Gear vids on youtube only used to last a couple of days before you saw the old "this video has been removed due to copyright infringement". Now BBC has actually uploaded a heap themselves!!!
Have a look in the parts trading section.
You should be able to find a 7K in a commercial wreckers somewhere. Expect to pay about $1k for it though. :S
If you want to be a tight arse then go and find a product by permatex called "need it". Its a 2 part epoxy putty thats made for fixing small leaks in radiators and fuel tanks. :S
Nice..... NOT!
When the nut came loose the turbo would have pulled itself into the front housing and done that to the fins.
New wheel, new housing, new bearings........ and at least $700 for a turbo that aint really worth it. Spewn. :S
Nah thats not what I'm saying, just ellaborating on why he has said thats what he'll use.
I've never really had a lot to do with alloy case W's so I (and I'm sure Matt) am more than happy to take some advise from you on the ratios etc from personal experience. :lolcry:
Alloy rusts differently to steel. The top layer will oxidise and form a layer which will protect the alloy underneath. Wipe this layer off (to expose new shiny alloy) and it'll just happen again.... over time.
So: Wipe/sand old oxidation off, polish with wet and dry, then CLEAN COAT them so the paint substitutes the "sacrificial" top layer of oxidation. :lolcry:
$300 pfft, tight arses!
Did that guy who wanted a "rally car" for $1000 ever come have a look. He kept PM'ing me wanting to buy dirt.
Shame its not just a beat up old bitch like dirt then you could just let the rego expire and tuck it away as a car-soccer car!! :lolcry:
