I mentioned in the KETURBO25's project thread that when I first registered on rollaclub I remember maybe Medicine Man or Teddy mentioning that they knew of a measly 3x K-T bellhousing in Australia. These days they seem to be coming out of the woodwork everywhere and there's a lot more than 3x just among rollaclub members. Plus I'm sure there have to be a few more rolla drivers out there with one,....and they don't even know they do!!! So, just interested to see exactly how many we do have among members these days. I know of a few people that do so I'll automatically add them to the below list, but if you've also got one yell out. :blush: Also tell us weather its a hydro or cable clutch version please. Just as rare here Brodie, if not rarer as we didn't get Carina's like unzud did. And most of the ones I've seen over here have been cable.....actually can't think of any hydro ones off the top of my head. I might go and start a K-T roll call thread in the automitve discussion section for my own interest.

Being a square head-light '55 it'll also have a rear sway bar. That'll get you at least a carton if you sell it here, then you're 3x six-packs up on the purchase price!!! :blush:

thanks Tom, I breezed over a bit. You're right - Drivers side one is the actual temp sensor, left one doesn't even have to be hooked up. Think it also connects to the carby for something or other. Green plug is the GB end of of the 4th/5th gear indicator which also doesn't need to be hooked up. :blush:

There's only one reason I can think of why he'd want to do that. Can anybody say "....feeling hot hot hot!" :P Ask if you can have another look at the motor, jot down the VIN # (if you can) and report it to the local authorities. Or just ring them and tell them the story. They might want to investigate further on the lead. Dodgy bastards. :blush:

Nice work yet again. :blush: Intake piping is very conveniently placed should you ever want to supercharge it, or is that planned later down the track? Also PM'd you another question about the keyless start. :P

Yeah subaru seem to have very reasonable genuine prices. When I sold my old TD04-L kit the guy who bought it wanted new turbo gaskets. I told him where I got both off the net for $35 which I thought was reasonable for steel gaskets and he just said "oh, i'll just go to subaru if they're WRX gasket" I told him "they'll be bloody expensive for genuine ones from them". Got back to me a week later and said subi charged him $15 for both and I was very suprised. :blush:

:blush: Nice work with the DIY air filter. May I recommend that you grease the seal of the filter where it contacts each flat sheet. :P

Ok GB first: The white plug with 2 pins needs to be connected to the 2x red wires with the spade terminals. Just cut the white plug off and clamp on some new female spade terminals to join up to the GB. The other 2x single wires that go to the GB are for 4th and 5th gear indicators. These are connected to the carby and are for cruising fuel economy. Don't bother hooking them up (not that you can to the holley anyway) and I don't think fuel economy is high on your list anyway. Now onto the other wires. Third pic down - I'm pretty sure the plug on the left is the oil pressure switch (should be black with a yellow trace IIRC). Plug on the right is for the temp sensor on the driver side. loose wire would be the other one on the passenger side of the thermostat housing. All 3x of those wires run down the drivers side past the dizzy, other side of the engine can get a bit hot! :blush:

Yeah the autosol cream is heaps better than the polished soaked cottom wool like Mothers. I've actually taken to applying the cream with my finger or whole hand to rub it in. If you use a rag it soaks too much up were as your hand doesn't. Also find it makes it a bit easier to get into corners etc. once you've lovily caressed it for a while and your hand is black its time to buff off.

Go to your local parts store and ask for a product by Permatex called "Need it". That could get you going again for around $10. :blush:

Its not a great quality photo when you zoom in on it but it almost looks like you can see ribs on the GB casing. If so that would rule out a W50 so it could be a K-T or K-Alloy W (w56 most likely). KETURBO25 is going to email me some more pics and I'll let you know what it is. :blush:

Having a premature baby soon delayed this project from happening mid winter as I planned. Just been using the zuk as a mobile compost bin lately doing some gardening. :) Also take it fishing ever now and then. Finally moved the wagon from my old house to new house a couple of weeks ago. Had been there since May!!! :no2: 7k hadn't been started in over a year and fired straight away. Needs some minor reconditioning done like the fact it has crunchy radiator hoses. :y: Some f@$ker also stole the head unit out of it. Have no idea when. Took it home via the highway and the 7k pulls very well though. :P So, as much as I don't want to not have a 4x4 over summer I'm thinking I'll try and get stuck into the project after xmas. I've got a couple of weeks of annual leave and january is always my quietist time of year, end up working like 20 hour weeks so the other 20 hours can be spent doing this. Have also had a re-think about how to get the wagon on and off the chassis to make mounts etc. One of my mates is building a race car next year and is going to buy some rotisserie (SP?) stands for it. Before he starts his car we're going to use it for this so we can just wheel it over the side of the chassis suss mounts out and slide it back off. Will just be a lot easier than trying to lift it on and off with chain blocks as originally planned.

Thats probably at the other end as K50 and T50 output splines are different.

Fine to leave the thermostat vacuum line with nothing on them. However I do have one of the '55 thermostat housing you can have for the cost of postage if you really want one?
